Many response activities across the country
Since the beginning of April, the atmosphere of Good Work Day has been bustling all over the country. From Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, Can Tho to many other localities, a series of practical volunteer activities have been implemented by clubs, associations, groups, and volunteers, with the common goal of bringing joy and happiness to everyone and moving towards positive values.
In Thanh Hoa, Ngoc Lac Youth Volunteer Club organized many meaningful activities for patients, students and disadvantaged people in response to Good Work Day 2025. Within the framework of the program, the club donated 2,400 boxes of milk to students, 300 breakfasts to patients and more than 80 gifts to patients in difficult circumstances. In addition, the program also donated study corners and bicycles to students and provided support to those in difficult circumstances and disadvantaged people.
Also during these days, in Thao Chu Pin village, Bat Dai Son commune, Quan Ba district, Ha Giang province, the charity group Hanh Phuc presented 75 gifts to preschool and primary school students and presented 1 house in the temporary housing elimination project worth more than 80 million VND. At the northernmost point of the country, the Cao Nguyen Da Charity Club also actively carried out many meaningful activities such as presenting 260 porridge portions and 80 diaper packs at Ha Giang Provincial General Hospital, and organizing a "Love Meal" for orphans and homeless elderly people at Duong Hien Social Protection Center.
In Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho provinces, the Yen Lac District Heart Connection Club has actively implemented many meaningful volunteer activities to join hands in spreading the spirit of Good Work Day. The club has given gifts to families in special circumstances, distributed more than 1,000 free meals to patients being treated at hospitals and presented more than 40 gifts to disadvantaged patients in the two localities. Each gift, each meal, although small, contains the warm feelings of the club members.
In Gia Lai, on the occasion of Good Deeds Day, a number of clubs, teams and volunteer groups in the province organized many meaningful activities with the motto "Anyone, anywhere, anytime can do good deeds". A typical example is the Tay Nguyen Red Fire Club with the activity "Raising children in the highlands". It is known that the club has prepared many necessities such as instant noodles, rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, candy, books to visit 4 disadvantaged and orphaned children who are being sponsored by the club every month. When visiting each family, the members not only give gifts but also help clean the house, check on the children's learning situation and encourage them to strive to overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
Sharing the spirit of volunteerism in Gia Lai, the Ia Grai Warm Blood Volunteer Club coordinated with Van Phat Pagoda to distribute 100 free vegetarian meals and milk to patients in difficult circumstances at the Ia Grai District Medical Center. Wearing uniforms bearing the logo “Good Deeds Day” with the familiar heart shape provided by VVC, the volunteers worked together to prepare food, prepare meals, pack boxes and deliver each portion of rice and milk to the patients.
Looking at the activities mentioned above, it can be seen that these are all extremely meaningful actions. However, that is only a small part of the countless other good deeds that have been taking place all over the country this April. From collecting trash and cleaning the streets of Lien Chieu district (Da Nang); raising funds to build libraries for 2 schools in Pac Nam district (Bac Kan) through the book exchange program, selling fresh flowers; donating and planting 16,000 seedlings in Dakrong district (Quang Tri)... To organizing zero-dong booths and propagating about fire prevention and fighting for students in Gia Rai town (Bac Lieu).
It would be impossible to list all of these noble acts. However, it is certain that every action in response to Good Deed Day 2025, no matter how small or large, is contributing to multiplying kindness in society every day.

Make every day a good working day
It can be said that Good Work Day is not only an opportunity for us to share and spread love with each other, but also a symbol of the spirit of humanity, the starting point for a journey of living beautifully and usefully for each individual in the community. Looking back at the development of Good Work Day, although it has been 18 years, this event has still fulfilled its mission of bringing joy and happiness to everyone and moving towards positive values.
First launched in 2007, Good Deed Day quickly became an annual event attracting 7,000 participants in Israel and became a global event in 2011 with the participation of 10 countries. In 2013, the number of volunteers increased to 16,000 people from 50 countries and joined hands to carry out hundreds of meaningful projects. By 2016, Good Deed Day became a global phenomenon, attracting 1.5 million participants from 75 countries, contributing to the implementation of more than 14,000 volunteer projects around the world.
In Vietnam, Good Deed Day was first organized in 2017 by the National Volunteer Center - VVC (Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union). As a sustainable, long-term national organization aiming to promote support and coordination of volunteer activities for development in Vietnam, VVC always strives to promote volunteer work for development in Vietnam, in which mobilizing the core participation of youth volunteers and the active participation of organizations, individuals, clubs, teams, and groups in the community. Through meaningful community-oriented activities, VVC hopes to convey the message of doing good things from the simplest things, to build a better world together.
This is also one of the core messages that Good Work Day always aims for. Over the past 8 years, since it was first held in Vietnam, Good Work Day has always been vibrant with many practical and meaningful activities. Nearly a hundred programs are implemented each year, attracting the enthusiastic participation of thousands of union members, youth and volunteers from organizations, businesses, clubs, teams and volunteer groups across the country, demonstrating the strong influence of the event.
In addition to the impressive scale, Good Work Day also successfully completed its mission of inspiring each individual, arousing the spirit of responsibility, compassion and willingness to contribute to the community and society. Participating in the Good Work Day 2025 journey, Ms. Le Thi Suu - Head of the Tay Nguyen Red Fire Club shared with the media: "Every good deed, big or small, is meaningful. Good Work Day is an opportunity for everyone to look back and continue to act, spreading good things to create a community filled with love."
Indeed, from Good Deeds Day, beautiful actions and noble gestures have been spreading strongly, gradually becoming a lifestyle and a positive habit of many people, especially young people. This is a good thing, because the message of Good Deeds Day wishes not to be limited to just one day of the year, but to aim at a greater goal: To make good deeds happen every day, anytime, anywhere and with everyone.
