
Accordingly, the Thanh Tra Festival will be opened on the morning of April 12, at Dong Thanh Secondary and High School, Binh Minh town, Vinh Long.
There will be a space to display pomelos and a competition of 135 culinary dishes made from Binh Minh pomelos. The festival will also feature OCOP products from Binh Minh province and town. The purpose of the festival is to honor the unique local products, the ingenuity of Vinh Long women in culinary arts, and to attract tourists, serving the socio-economic development of Vinh Long.

Thanh Tra is a specialty fruit, grown a lot in Binh Minh town, mainly in Dong Thanh commune. According to the elderly, Thanh Tra was grown in Binh Minh about 100 years ago.
The star fruit is as small as a chicken egg. When unripe, it is green and when ripe, it has a beautiful orange-yellow color. There are two types of star fruit: sweet star fruit and sour star fruit.

Currently, Binh Minh people grow tens of thousands of pomelo trees. Pomelo trees can be grown from seeds or by grafting. This is a woody plant, pomelo leaves are similar to mango leaves but smaller and thinner. Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province is the only locality in the Southwest region that commercially grows pomelo trees.
At this festival, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy hundreds of dishes made from pomelos with 20 culinary teams from Vinh Long province.
