Thu Duc City students enthusiastically participate in STEM Education Festival with the theme of Fun Learning - Creativity with AI

The STEM (science-technology-engineering-mathematics) education festival with the theme of Learning Fun - Creativity with AI, hosted by the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, featured an exhibition and display of innovative STEM/STEAM scientific products combined with artificial intelligence (AI) from representatives of the Department of Education and Training such as Thu Duc City, District 1, District 3, District 5, District 10, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, and STEM training units.
At the festival, nearly 2,000 students of Thu Duc City had the opportunity to learn, experience, and participate in challenges on science, technology, engineering, and artificial intelligence associated with the 2018 General Education Program.

Joining the experience of the festival activities with the homeroom teacher, the group of students Nguyen Doan Bao Han, Huynh Gia Bao, Tran Tuan Khanh, class 5/4, Linh Tay Primary School (Thu Duc City) were excited and enthusiastic. Bao Han shared: "We had a day of experiencing creative science full of fun through activities and games that applied STEM technology. Besides, we had the opportunity to learn from friends from other schools through the displayed products to improve our own application capacity".

At the festival, Mr. Tran Huu Phuoc, Vice Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee, said that the STEM education method has been affirming the inevitable trend contributing to innovation and improving the quality of education and training. In Thu Duc City alone, 53/371 schools have implemented STEM teaching in the main curriculum, 61 schools have implemented STEM teaching in an integrated form and 47 STEM clubs have attracted more than 26,000 students to participate. The theme of Fun Learning - Creativity with AI, brings a very meaningful message, not only is it a place for students to present creative STEM products, the results of the learning process, research and passion of individuals and teachers, but also an opportunity for students to exchange, learn, and share unique ideas and technological solutions in the field of science and technology.

A representative of the Thu Duc City government said that according to the construction and development orientation of Ho Chi Minh City, the Thu Duc City area will become a financial center, a multi-disciplinary, multi-field integrated technology center including majors such as microchips, semiconductors, biotechnology, research and development, technology transfer, training, human resource development, international cooperation and attracting global technology investors... Thus, the festival and the participation of students in STEM education activities will be considered an incubator, a space for them to apply their research and learning achievements in the future. "And who knows, among the students present today, there will be technology corporation owners, financial strategists of the city (in the future - NV). We are sitting here and will promote our talents to contribute to the construction of the city in the future", the Vice Chairman of the Thu Duc City People's Committee sent a message to the students.

This is not only an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), but according to Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, it also helps students have the opportunity to experience and be creative in a positive learning environment, together solving practical problems in life. There are opportunities to develop social practice skills, thinking; encourage the spirit of learning and discovery to gradually master science and technology right from when they are still in school...
