Oral health care for school-age children plays an extremely important role, contributing to protecting their overall health and comprehensive development. In order to raise awareness of the importance of oral care for students, on May 24, the School Dental Festival "Bright Smile - Bright Future" was held under the cooperation between Smart Dental System and Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School (address at 106 Nguyen Khuyen Ward, Van Mieu, Dong Da, Hanoi).
The state of oral health is an alarming issue in Vietnam. Currently, over 90% of people have oral health problems. This comes from many reasons such as not taking proper care of their teeth, not having regular dental check-ups, etc. Among them, the age group with the most oral health problems is school-age children.
The School Dental Festival: “Bright Smile - Bright Future” recently held dental examinations for nearly 800 students. Thereby, many diseases related to dental problems were discovered such as: pulpitis, crooked teeth, tooth decay, etc. For students with syndromes related to dental problems, doctors will advise on appropriate treatment methods, prevent the development of the disease and promptly correct it at the early stages of the disease.

In addition to the main activity of examining the teeth of students, at the School Dental Festival, Smart Dental doctors also provide and share with students knowledge on how to effectively care for their teeth at home, helping them have healthy, beautiful teeth and a bright smile.

Parents should encourage their children to brush their teeth regularly twice a day, use dental floss regularly, and limit eating sweet foods. In addition to dental health check-ups for students, Smart Dental System gives students meaningful gifts, as a reminder to students to maintain and protect their oral health.

Bao Nam, a student of class 9A1, shared: "I was very impressed with the oral health education activities organized in the program. From early morning, students eagerly came to school with excitement. At the program, I had my oral health checked by doctors, including my teeth and gums, and early detection of potential problems with tooth decay. After that, I was instructed on how to brush my teeth properly, use dental floss, and effective measures to prevent oral diseases."

Through the School Dental Day program, Smart Dental hopes to provide all the necessary knowledge about teeth, forming good behaviors, habits, and awareness of dental health for students from an early age.
