Tan Son Nhat Airport continues to be crowded with people checking in for flights home on the first day of the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday.
This morning (January 25, the 26th of Tet), the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday 2025, Tan Son Nhat airport continued to be crowded with passengers.
From dawn, the domestic and international terminals of this airport were bustling with passengers arriving and departing. At the halls, station staff guided the route and lined up neatly to check in.
As the morning rush hour approaches, the number of passengers increases, causing congestion at the manual check-in counters due to the increased demand for passengers to check in their luggage.
This morning, many flights were delayed and displayed on the information board, causing thousands of passengers to wait tiredly.
Ms. Dinh Thi Diem (residing in Thu Duc City) said that her whole family took a taxi to the airport at 4:00 a.m. to check in for the 7:30 a.m. flight back to Hai Phong.
After queuing for an hour, Ms. Diem's family completed the check-in procedure. When they entered the quarantine area to wait for the plane, they received a notice from Vietjet Air about the flight delay.
"I have received 4 notices about flight delays. The most recent one reported a departure date of 10:35 a.m., but I don't know if this will be the last one. There are many cases of delays like mine at the airport, everyone is tired," Ms. Diem worried.
According to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, today (January 25), the airport welcomed more than 145,000 passengers, with 927 flights. Of these, 465 were departure flights and 462 were arrival flights.
