First day of holiday, tourists increased by 120%, Vung Tau beach is still deserted

On the afternoon of September 1, Mr. Trinh Hang, Director of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, said that on the first day of the holiday, the total number of visitors coming to play, swim, stay... in the locality reached more than 129,000.

On the first day of the holiday, the number of visitors to Vung Tau beach was not high.

Thus, it is estimated that the number of visitors today increased by 121.49% compared to the same period in 2022; revenue reached more than 55 billion VND.

According to Mr. Hang, on the first day of the September 2nd holiday this year, the number of visitors to the province was not much and the number of visitors is likely to increase in the following days.

The reason is that in Ba Ria - Vung Tau there are many coastal tourist areas such as: Dat Do, Long Hai, Ho Tram, convenient transportation so the load is shared with Vung Tau city before.

On the occasion of September 2nd this year, most tourism businesses offer promotions on room rates and accompanying services in hotels and resorts.

In particular, localities have many big festivals such as: Vung Tau BeerFest (Vung Tau); SUP boat racing festival - Dinh Co Paddle Cup (Long Dien district); super sea festival Let's Charm Fest 2023 - Be Shining at Ho Tram (Xuyen Moc).
