(Dan Tri) - On September 1, during a working trip to Da Nang city, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation visited students and teachers at Hy Vong School (Ngu Hanh Son district).
Hope School is a school for children who have unfortunately lost their parents due to Covid-19. Currently, the school has gone through 6 enrollment rounds with more than 300 students from 43 provinces and cities across the country. Right from the school gate, the Prime Minister gave warm hugs to the children and kindly asked about their studies and health. The Prime Minister said that Hy Vong School is a very meaningful school. The school was established after the Covid-19 pandemic, and no one can forget the pain of this pandemic. In addition to Hy Vong School, there are other schools across the country to support orphans after the Covid-19 pandemic. "I welcome this idea. This is also a fine tradition of our nation. When times are difficult, when there are losses and sacrifices, people unite and love each other... I hope you will preserve and develop it to a new height. The heritage of great national unity is a precious heritage that needs to be promoted to a new height, in a new era. That is our wish for you," the Prime Minister shared. Accompanying the Prime Minister's delegation were leaders of central ministries and branches, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang and Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh. The Prime Minister was presented with handmade soaps by students of the Hope School. Gia Nghi, representative of the students of Hy Vong School, said that after a night of thinking and discussing, the students decided to draw small pictures on the "Hope Soap" product to give to the Prime Minister. "We think that when the Prime Minister receives our small gift, he will see the image of the beloved lands of the Fatherland. The scent of the soap is the scent of the grass and trees of the country's nature. Surely the Prime Minister will remember us and all the love he has given us," Gia Nghi shared. The students shouted out the 10 promises of the Hope School before Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh left. The Prime Minister congratulated the school for having many students entering university and hoped that this year, the school would have better achievements. The Prime Minister suggested that the school direct students to emerging fields such as software engineering, AI engineering, semiconductor chips, etc. "The Government, the Party, the State and the people are always with the students of Hy Vong School in particular and students across the country in general. People are the center, the goal, the subject and the resource for development, but we should not forget about social security because of the pursuit of development. Investing in students is investing in development. This investment includes policies, mechanisms, financial resources, and facilities to help students have better learning conditions," the Prime Minister expressed.
