Last day of session: National Assembly passes many important Resolutions and Laws

On November 30, the last day of the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly passed many important Resolutions and Laws and discussed in the hall the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry.

Specifically, in the morning session, the National Assembly voted to pass the Juvenile Justice Law; Resolution on the establishment of Hue City under the Central Government; Resolution on the organization of urban government in Hai Phong City; and discussed in the hall the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry. The Minister of Information and Communications explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

The National Assembly held a separate meeting to vote on a Resolution of the National Assembly on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, and Khanh Hoa Province.

In the afternoon session, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on piloting the implementation of commercial housing projects through agreements on receiving land use rights or having land use rights; the Data Law; the Electricity Law (amended); and the Resolution on investment policy for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis.

From 3:30 p.m., the National Assembly held its closing session, which was broadcast live on television and radio, to vote and pass the Resolution on questioning and answering questions.

The National Assembly also voted to pass the Resolution of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly (including the following contents: Policy on additional investment of state capital at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank); adjustment of the National Land Use Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; adjustment of the investment policy of the Long Thanh International Airport Project in Resolution No. 94/2015/QH13 of the National Assembly; solutions to continue to remove difficulties caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic so that Vietnam Airlines Corporation can soon recover and develop sustainably; on reducing value added tax).
