National Digital Transformation Day 2024

On June 7, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision No. 934/QD-BTTTT approving the Plan for implementing Decision 505/QD-TTg dated April 22, 2022 of the Prime Minister on the National Digital Transformation Day 2024.

Some activities of the Ministry of Information and Communications

The plan assigns the National Digital Transformation Agency to lead the development of the National Digital Transformation Day Message for 2024; and to develop communication campaigns on mass media, press systems, online newspapers, websites, online forums, intranets, etc., from September 15 to October 31, 2024.

In coordination with the Press Department, the Broadcasting and Electronic Information Department, the Department of External Information, and the Department of Grassroots Information, guide the implementation of information and propaganda work; update and post information, news, and events of the National Digital Transformation Day on the National Digital Transformation Program's electronic portal to disseminate and reflect to domestic and international readers about activities in response to the National Digital Transformation Day 2024.

In coordination with information technology associations, launch initiatives to encourage organizations and individuals to create and develop digital applications to promote the digital economy in 2024; organize events to honor outstanding digital applications contributing to the digital economy, to be completed before October 10, 2024.

In coordination with ministries, sectors, and localities, the community digital technology team will launch and implement a nationwide campaign of " going door-to-door, guiding every citizen on how to use services and applications to develop the digital economy " for 10 days (October 1, 2024 - October 10, 2024).

In coordination with ministries, sectors, and localities, organize a seminar between the Prime Minister and outstanding individuals, businesses, and members of community digital technology groups nationwide on October 10, 2024.

Coordinate with ministries, departments, localities, associations, and businesses to identify and propose outstanding public services for recognition, to be completed before October 10, 2024.

In coordination with relevant ministries, sectors, professional associations, Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, press agencies, and businesses, organize events to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day throughout October 2024.

Compile and publicly post on the National Digital Transformation Portal detailed information about activities in response to National Digital Transformation Day, preferential policies, discounts, and incentives to encourage people and businesses to use digital products, services, and data submitted by agencies and units.

The plan also assigns units under the Ministry, such as: the Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society, the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry, the Department of Telecommunications, the Department of Information Security, the Department of Press, the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution, the Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, the Department of Grassroots Information, the Information Center, the Vietnam Internet Center... depending on their functions and tasks, to organize activities in response to the National Digital Transformation Day 2024 in a practical, meaningful, economical and effective manner.

Implementation plans for the National Digital Transformation Day by ministries, sectors, and localities.

The Ministry of Information and Communications requests that ministries, sectors, localities, and relevant agencies and units organize and implement various activities in response to the National Digital Transformation Day 2024.

Accordingly, ministries, sectors, and localities are encouraged to launch and organize activities in response to the National Digital Transformation Day 2024 during the period from September 15th to October 10th, 2024, or throughout the entire month of October 2024, ensuring they are consistent with the purpose, meaning, spirit, and theme of the National Digital Transformation Day 2024.

Local authorities will coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize nationwide campaigns for community digital technology teams over 10 days (October 1, 2024 - October 10, 2024).

Communication activities will be widely implemented, spreading the message of National Digital Transformation Day across digital platforms and mass media to raise awareness and promote community participation in the national digital transformation process.
