On June 7, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision No. 934/QD-BTTTT approving the Plan to implement Decision 505/QD-TTg dated April 22, 2022 of the Prime Minister on National Digital Transformation Day 2024.
Some activities of the Ministry of Information and Communications
The plan assigns the National Digital Transformation Agency to take the lead in developing the National Digital Transformation Day Message in 2024; Develop communication campaigns on mass media, on press systems, electronic newspapers, electronic news sites, online forums, internal networks, ... during the period from September 15 to October 31, 2024.
Coordinate with the Press Department, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, the Department of External Information, and the Department of Grassroots Information to guide the implementation of information and propaganda work; update and post information, news, and events of National Digital Transformation Day on the National Digital Transformation Program's electronic information portal to propagate and reflect to domestic and foreign readers about activities responding to National Digital Transformation Day 2024.
Coordinate with IT associations to encourage organizations and individuals to create and develop digital applications to develop the digital economy in 2024; organize to honor outstanding digital applications to develop the digital economy, to be completed before October 10, 2024.
Coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to launch and deploy the campaign " going to every alley, knocking on every door, guiding every citizen to use services and applications to develop the digital economy " of the Community Digital Technology Team nationwide for 10 days (October 1, 2024 - October 10, 2024).
Coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to organize a Dialogue between the Prime Minister and individuals, businesses and members of typical community digital technology groups nationwide on October 10, 2024.
Coordinate with ministries, branches, localities, associations and businesses to search for and propose honoring typical public services, to be completed before October 10, 2024.
Coordinate with relevant ministries, branches, associations, professional associations, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, press agencies and businesses to organize events in response to National Digital Transformation Day throughout October 2024.
Synthesize and publicly post on the National Digital Transformation Electronic Portal detailed information about activities responding to National Digital Transformation Day, preferential policies, discounts, and incentives for people and businesses to use digital products, services, and digital data sent by agencies and units.
The plan also assigns units under the Ministry, such as: Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society, Department of International Cooperation, Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry, Department of Telecommunications, Department of Information Security, Department of Press, Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution, Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, Department of Grassroots Information, Information Center, Vietnam Internet Center... depending on their functions and tasks, to organize activities in response to National Digital Transformation Day 2024 in a practical, meaningful, economical and effective manner.
Implementation plan of National Digital Transformation Day of Ministries, branches and localities
The Ministry of Information and Communications requests ministries, branches, localities and relevant agencies and units to organize and implement many activities in response to National Digital Transformation Day 2024.
Accordingly, ministries, branches and localities are encouraged to launch and organize activities in response to National Digital Transformation Day 2024 from September 15 to October 10, 2024 or throughout October 2024, ensuring that they are consistent with the purpose, meaning, spirit and theme of National Digital Transformation Day 2024.
Localities will coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize the launching campaigns of the Community Digital Technology Team nationwide for 10 days (October 1, 2024 - October 10, 2024).
Communication activities will be widely deployed, spreading the National Digital Transformation Day message on digital platforms and mass media to raise awareness and promote community participation in the national digital transformation process./.
