The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that the number of passengers passing through Tan Son Nhat airport may increase, but not much. Basically, flights from Ho Chi Minh City to the northern and central provinces were almost full before Tet.
The Civil Aviation Authority said it has directed units and businesses in the industry and coordinated with relevant agencies to review procedures, develop service plans, mobilize resources and vehicles at the airport, and ensure readiness for exploitation and passenger service plans.
However, with the long Lunar New Year holiday and the high number of air passengers, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also hopes to receive sympathy and understanding from passengers with the aviation industry.
To ensure safe, on-schedule and most convenient flights for passengers, the Civil Aviation Authority recommends that passengers calculate the time to arrive at the airport to avoid missing their flights.
According to regulations, check-in counter opening time for international flights is 3 hours and for domestic flights is 2 hours before departure time.
Passengers must comply with regulations related to personal documents, carry-on baggage, checked baggage... For international flights, passengers should pay attention to the validity period of their passports as some countries require passports to be valid for at least 6 months before entry is approved...
