On November 19, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Chau said that the idea of giving books to students on the occasion of November 20 had been nurtured and planned by him since the beginning of 2024.

Spreading reading culture to the community on the occasion of November 20

In more than 200 books that Mr. Chau gave to the school's students, most of them are about gratitude to teachers, motivation to succeed, culture, education and the meaning of life...

"I mobilized these books from socialized sources, including books I have collected over many years" - Mr. Chau said.

According to Mr. Chau, the biggest purpose of giving books is to spread the spirit and reading culture of students of Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted to the community.

He believes that this will also help students form the habit of reading every day so that they can accumulate more knowledge beyond textbooks.

Teacher Chau hopes that students see that Teachers' Day, November 20, is a joyful and happy day for teachers and hopes that parents and students do not have to worry about the "burden" of gifts on this day.

Vo Hong Sam, a 10th grade literature student at Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, was surprised when for the first time in his life he received a book from his teacher on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

The book that Sam received is called "Every fall is a step to maturity".

"I was really happy and surprised because I didn't think I would receive books on a special occasion for teachers. This is a very creative way of doing things by Mr. Chau, bringing us a new approach to knowledge" - Sam shared.

Ho Le Thanh Nha, a 12th grade English major student, said: "This is a meaningful gift for me. The principal researched in advance to choose books suitable for the students.

He wants us not to worry about giving gifts to teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, but instead to focus on studying to achieve good results."

Previously, on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, 2023, Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted gave a gift of 50,000 VND/student of the school to organize a party with teachers.

Mr. Chau also shared that on November 20, Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted will award 12 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to disadvantaged students studying at the school.
