On February 27, Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Phu Hung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet; leaders of relevant departments, agencies and sectors; leaders of the Department of Health through the periods; comrades of the war zone medical staff and a large number of cadres, doctors and workers of the provincial health sector.

Reviewing the tradition of the health sector, Director of the Department of Health Nay Phi La emphasized that 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day. This is an important milestone, recognizing the long journey of dedication of the Vietnamese health sector in general and the health sector of Dak Lak province in particular in the cause of caring for and protecting people's health.
Although the past journey has encountered many difficulties, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the efforts of the collective leadership, civil servants, public employees, and workers, the Dak Lak Health sector has achieved the assigned goals and targets, contributing to ensuring health care for people in the area.

To date, 100% of communes, wards and towns have health stations; 92.3% of health stations have doctors on duty; 100% of health stations have computers connected to the network and apply medical management software. The whole sector has focused on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, enhancing the application of science and technology, promoting the transfer and development of technical expertise in examination and treatment in hospitals; continuing to reorganize the apparatus of health service units, at the same time training and supplementing human resources, advising on the development of policies to attract high-quality human resources; managing the quality and price of drugs, continuing to conduct centralized bidding in a public and transparent manner, ensuring the interests of patients.

Food safety management has made much progress; administrative procedures have been simplified to suit practical requirements; preventive medicine has been well implemented, the family doctor model has been initially implemented, health records have been established, disease prevention has been proactively implemented, and major epidemics have not occurred...
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van acknowledged and praised the achievements and contributions of generations of cadres and employees in the health sector in the task of caring for, protecting and improving people's health. At the same time, he emphasized that each doctor and medical staff always carries a noble mission, which is to protect the most valuable asset of each person, "Health". Along with the expectations are the increasingly great challenges in the health sector, from the increase of complex diseases, emerging infectious diseases, to the pressure to improve the quality of health services in the context of limited resources...
Authorized by the President, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van presented the Decision to confer the title of "Excellent Doctor" to 9 individuals.
To fulfill the assigned responsibilities, take good care of the health of the disadvantaged, the poor, ethnic minorities, and people in remote areas, comrade Nguyen Thien Van requested that each unit, each medical officer and staff must constantly innovate and learn to improve their expertise and skills, while maximizing existing resources to best serve the work of medical examination and treatment, fulfilling their obligations and responsibilities to the community and society, worthy of the trust of the Party, the State and the people.

On this occasion, authorized by the President, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van awarded the Decision to confer the title of "Excellent Physician" to 9 individuals; awarded the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter to 2 individuals; awarded Certificates of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 4 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in protecting and taking care of people's health.
