The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just sent a document to specialized departments and affiliated units regarding the propaganda and response to the "Eastern Spirit" contest according to the directive of the Propaganda Department of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests specialized departments and affiliated units to carry out propaganda and disseminate widely to all civil servants, public employees and employees of agencies and units about the meaning and importance of the contest "Eastern Spirit". Thereby, calling on and mobilizing civil servants, public employees and employees of agencies, units and people to actively respond and participate in writing entries. In addition, increasing the posting of relevant information about the contest on the electronic information pages of agencies and units to widely propagate to writers, journalists, professional and non-professional authors to know, respond and participate.
Launched by Thanh Nien Newspaper and the companionship of Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, the contest "Eastern Spirit" aims to communicate the key economic region of the Southeast with the meaning of contributing to spreading good values, honoring good practices, new models, dynamic and creative thinking of Eastern people to domestic and foreign readers.
Written works (genres: essays, memoirs, notes, press reports...) express the love and affection of Eastern people for their homeland (Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City); or the nostalgia for the birthplace of those born here but far away from home; or about the old memories of those who have been to and admired the character of the people of this land; about the openness and liberality in the thinking of Eastern people - an attitude of readiness to accept and embrace new things, pioneering in thinking and doing...
Entries must be written in Vietnamese or English (for foreigners) and not exceed 1,500 words. It is recommended to include illustrations by the author or copyrighted photos. Entries must be new creations that have not been used or published in any mass media, or posted on websites, blogs, or social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. of organizations or individuals.
The work must clearly state the author's full name, pen name (if any), year of birth, occupation, gender, address, and contact phone number. Each author can submit multiple works but must have a consistent full name or pen name.
