Railway industry increases trips, reduces train ticket prices during peak summer season

DNO - This summer, the railway industry will increase the number of Thong Nhat trains and tourist trains on the North-South route, and at the same time have many policies to reduce ticket prices.

Vietnam Railways Corporation said that from May 15, the railway industry will regularly operate many pairs of trains on the North-South route to serve passengers traveling during the summer of 2024.

Of these, there are 6 pairs of Thong Nhat trains connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The Hanoi - Vinh route and the Hanoi - Dong Hoi route each have a pair of QB1/QB2 trains. The Hanoi - Da Nang route alone has two pairs of trains running regularly.

There are 6 pairs of Thong Nhat trains between Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City including: SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12.

Departing from Hanoi station, train SE1 departs at 20:55, arriving at Saigon station at 6:50; train SE3 departs at 19:20; train SE5 departs at 15:30; train SE7 departs at 6:10; train SE9 departs at 13:05; train SE11 departs at 21:20.

Departing from Saigon station, train SE2 leaves at 20:35; train SE4 leaves at 19:00; train SE6 leaves at 15:00; train SE8 leaves at 6:00; train SE10 leaves at 12:20; train SE12 leaves at 19:25.

The Hanoi - Vinh route has the NA1/NA2 train pair. Train NA1 departs from Hanoi station at 9:50 p.m. and arrives at Vinh station at 5:50 a.m. Train NA2 departs from Vinh station at 10:15 p.m. and arrives at Hanoi station at 5:20 a.m.

The Hanoi - Dong Hoi route has the QB1/QB2 train pair. Train QB1 departs from Hanoi station at 20:05 and arrives at Dong Hoi station at 6:30. Train QB2 departs from Dong Hoi station at 15:20 and arrives at Hanoi station at 3:55. In addition, on the Dong Hoi - Hanoi route, there is also train QB4 running at 13:05 and arriving at 3:00.

The Hanoi - Da Nang route has two pairs of trains SE17/SE18 and SE19/SE20. Departing from Hanoi station, train SE17 departs at 20:25 and arrives at Da Nang station at 14:35; train SE19 departs at 19:40 and arrives at 11:58.

Departing from Dong Hoi station, train SE18 leaves at 19:25, arriving at Hanoi station at 14:20; train SE20 leaves at 18:05, arriving at 11:40.

In addition to increasing train operations, during the summer period, from May 17 to August 18, 2024, the railway industry also applies many ticket discount policies. Passengers who buy individual tickets for trains SE1/SE2, SE5/SE6, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12 20-39 days before departure will receive a 5% discount on ticket prices; 40 days or more in advance will receive a 10% discount on ticket prices.

However, this policy does not apply to four-double-berth cabins on trains SE1/SE2.

The railway industry also announced ticket prices for two pairs of Hue - Da Nang tourist trains, HĐ1/HD2, HĐ3/HD4, from May 15.

Accordingly, the ticket for the direct route between Hue and Da Nang from Monday to Friday is 180,000 VND/ticket/way, and on Saturday and Sunday it is 210,000 VND/ticket/way.
