2024 is the year marking the strong development of Ninh Binh tourism industry with many positive results.
Ninh Binh tourism industry aims to welcome 9.1 million visitors in 2025
The whole province is estimated to welcome 8.7 million tourists, an increase of 30% compared to 2023, an increase of 14% compared to 2019 (the highest year before the Covid-19 pandemic); including 1.5 million international visitors, an increase of 221% compared to 2023, an increase of 63.9% compared to 2019. The estimated number of visitors to accommodation establishments increased by 45.33%; the number of days of guest stay increased by 28.27%. Tourism revenue reached over VND 9,100 billion, an increase of 40.15% compared to 2023, an increase of 148% compared to 2019.
The image of Ninh Binh continues to be strongly marked on the national and international tourism map. Ninh Binh has become one of the top 10 destinations in Vietnam and received many prestigious awards from international organizations and websites such as: Top 10 most attractive experiences in 2024, Top 10 friendliest destinations in the world; Top 10 world wonders for those who do not like crowds; Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was voted as "influential destination in the world".
During the year, promotional activities were given special attention and promoted on digital platforms. This helped Ninh Binh tourism attract many international tourists, especially from key tourism markets such as Europe, North America, India, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
Successfully organized national and international cultural and sporting events have created opportunities for tourists to experience and explore culture, while contributing to promoting and spreading the image and tourism brand of Ninh Binh on the world tourism map.
In particular, the industry has successfully organized the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Trang An being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage; Ninh Binh Tourism Food Festival 2024; Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024; contests to design special gifts of the province, press articles on the topic of Heritage...
To achieve the above results, according to Director of Ninh Binh Department of Tourism Bui Van Manh, it is thanks to the industry's focus on implementing many synchronous solutions. In 2024, Ninh Binh has promoted and promoted tourism, increased media promotion on digital platforms and international travel websites. Thanks to that, it has attracted international visitors from key markets such as: India, Northeast Asia, Europe and North America.
