According to travel agencies and tourist destinations, during this year's National Day holiday, tourists tend to proactively book services early; the target group of customers is families and friends; the demand for day trips and individual services is dominant; many customers choose to travel by personal vehicle instead of buying package tours.

To best meet the needs of tourists for sightseeing, entertainment and relaxation during the holiday, localities have coordinated with local tourism businesses to proactively innovate and build more diverse and attractive tourism products, typically: Han River cruise experience service, paragliding experience to see Da Nang from above, cyclo tour to explore the beauty of Da Nang at night;
Ho Chi Minh City opened a new double-decker bus tour route and inaugurated the Sky Garden commercial-food street; Bo Cap Vang tourist area (Dong Nai) launched the Bliss artificial waterfall; Da Lat launched the Dalat Art Map...
In addition, many cultural, festival and art events are also organized by localities during the holiday to attract tourists and enhance destination competitiveness.
Along with domestic tourism, the overseas tourism market during the holiday season is also quite vibrant, with a large number of departure tours and diverse destinations. Some large travel agencies recorded a higher number of bookings for overseas tours than for domestic tours. Destinations that attract many Vietnamese tourists are: Bangkok (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia), Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea).
Notably, Cambodia and Laos are popular destinations for Vietnamese tourists due to their suitable tour times and not-too-high prices.
Tours to China by road and air to destinations such as Phoenix Ancient Town, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Beijing, Shanghai... this time attract many Vietnamese tourists because of the diversity of routes, prices suitable for all customers, land border gates are expanded and fast customs clearance technology is applied, the number of charter flights increases...
According to the assessment of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in general, tourist services during the September 2 holiday were well ensured, with no unfortunate incidents involving tourists. Localities and businesses have strictly complied with, thoroughly grasped, and ensured safety in tourism activities; proactively organized interdisciplinary inspection teams, strictly handled violations in compliance with the law on tourism business, environmental protection, and food safety; and improved the quality and professionalism in serving tourists.
This result shows that domestic tourism continues to have high growth, international tourism is gradually regaining growth momentum. This is a positive signal for the year-end tourist season and the inbound tourist season of Vietnam tourism.
However, tourism activities during this time still reveal some limitations, that is, the average room capacity at some key tourist destinations does not increase in proportion to the number of visitors, because visitors choose to travel nearby, travel independently, and are mostly local visitors and do not stay overnight.
In addition, high airfares make domestic tour prices high, leading to a segment of tourists choosing to travel abroad instead of domestically; total tourism revenue does not increase in proportion to the number of tourists due to the trend of tightening spending and low purchasing power...
In addition, local traffic jams and congestion at tourist destinations such as Sapa, Tam Dao, Nha Trang city center, on routes leading to and from major cities, and flight delays on the first and last days of the holiday still occurred.
Furthermore, although we have proactively built and renewed our products, the organization of tourism types and products in some places is still not diverse, and entertainment venues do not have many unique and attractive services for tourists.
These are problems that need to be carefully studied to find solutions, learn from experience, and improve the ability to attract and serve tourists in Vietnam.
