Along with technical solutions to ensure electricity supply in the dry season of 2025, the electricity sector is accelerating the investment and construction of many key power supply projects for the city, such as the Project to renovate, upgrade and develop the medium voltage grid in Can Tho City (Project). The project is to build new, renovate and upgrade the transmission capacity of 28 medium voltage lines in 5 districts, including Cai Rang, Ninh Kieu, Binh Thuy, O Mon, Thot Not and 3 districts, including Phong Dien, Thoi Lai and Co Do. The project is invested by the Southern Power Project Management Board, with a total investment of over 114.8 billion VND and is divided into 2 packages. Of which, package 1 has completed and put into use 13 lines in Cai Rang, Ninh Kieu and Binh Thuy districts. As for package 2, there are 15 routes that have been and are being implemented in O Mon district, Thot Not district, Phong Dien district, Thoi Lai district and Co Do district. Up to now, 3 routes in Thot Not district, 2 routes in Phong Dien district and 1 route in Co Do district have been completed; the remaining routes are being focused on by construction units to speed up construction progress, energize according to plan...
