Candidates taking the high school graduation exam this year
This morning (August 18), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) announced the admission cutoff scores based on the 2024 high school graduation exam.
This year, the cut-off scores for admission to majors using this method range from 22 to 28.8 points, a slight increase compared to 2023.
In particular, the average cutoff scores for majors in the C00 group increased by 2-3 points compared to the 2023 cutoff scores. Notably, the Religious Studies major saw an increase of 5 points (the cutoff score for the C00 group in 2023 was 21 points, while in 2024 it is 26 points).
In 2024, the highest admission scores belonged to the C00 subject combinations, such as: Journalism with the highest score of 28.88 points, followed by Tourism and Travel Service Management with 28.33 points, Cultural Studies with 28.2 points, Art Studies with 28.15 points, and History with 28.1 points. In addition, 22 majors in each subject group had admission scores of 27 or higher, accounting for 16.17% of the total.

According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, after knowing the cutoff scores, successful candidates must confirm their enrollment online through the Ministry's general admissions system no later than 5 PM on August 27th. Simultaneously, candidates must go directly to universities to complete enrollment procedures according to the timelines set by each university. From August 28th, universities with remaining vacancies will announce supplementary admissions rounds.
