Since the first quarter of 2025, Techcombank has launched a campaign to upgrade its branches with a new version, aiming at a modern technology standard model. According to the bank's representative, in addition to improving the uniform design space, Techcombank's new transaction office model is part of the bank's digital transformation strategy, designed to digitize transactions comprehensively and personalize each customer. Techcombank expects that in 2025, the first 19 branches in provinces and cities will have their transaction spaces renewed and put into operation; laying the foundation for the roadmap to upgrade all branches nationwide in the coming period.

Modern, customer-centric transaction spaces are being invested in and renovated by many banks.

The story of Techcombank's investment in innovation of transaction space as mentioned above is also a story that many banks in the system are interested in and include in their investment strategy to restructure their organizational structure and reposition their brand, improving competitiveness in attracting and retaining customers.

This trend can be clearly seen in the current market, when banks such as LPBank, Vietcombank, Agribank, BIDV, MB, ACB... have all planned to innovate the transaction space of large and small branches.

Specifically, after changing its name and brand identity, LPBank has launched a new website interface and a new generation of digital banking application. The bank has also invested in upgrading transaction offices based on surveys and designs to meet the needs of customer groups. Thereby increasing the cashless payment experience according to the personalized trend.

BIDV opened a series of transaction offices for priority customers (BIDV Premier) in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong. Meanwhile, Agribank focused on building and implementing "green transaction point" models - applying integrated technology into the transaction process from processing documents to customer after-sales care. MB and ACB focused on innovating branches and transaction offices in the direction of "smart offices", focusing on applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology and automation to reduce waiting time and improve service efficiency.

In addition to the above banks, the group of banks that are currently being restructured has also made significant changes in transforming transaction spaces and repositioning brands. After being transferred to Vietcombank, CBBank changed its name to VCBNeo with branches and transaction offices designed in a modern and luxurious way. Meanwhile, DongABank put on a "new look" with Vikki Digital Bank digital transaction offices aiming at a new generation of comprehensive digital banking model, focusing quite a lot on young customers who love technology.

According to representatives of commercial banks, the transformation of transaction spaces is an inevitable requirement as customers increasingly prefer digital banking services and want to experience fast and convenient services. Compared to traditional transaction spaces, new models are designed in a customer-centric direction, with personalized services for each customer group and procedures and paperwork reduced and digitized to the maximum.

According to banking experts, this innovation in the transaction space is part of the trend of using data as a strategic asset to compete. From there, build a data-driven bank and make decisions based on real-time. This innovation from a practical perspective will help banks more conveniently arrange, organize, and structure their functional departments when promoting the application of AI, blockchain and automation technologies, creating more utilities for the digital space and virtual reality.

This also helps banks gradually move towards an open banking model that can reduce costs, expand the network of branches and physical transaction offices while still ensuring competition in providing convenient financial products and services, especially utilities related to the fields of consumer credit and e-commerce payments. In addition, in the long term, digital transaction spaces in the direction of "hyper-personalization" will create a real database for banks to synthesize to make investment decisions, innovate products and services according to market needs and specialize for customer files and groups.
