In 2024, Hanoi City inaugurated a series of projects on social infrastructure, transportation, culture... which are typical works to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
In 2024, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, Hanoi City inaugurated a series of typical projects in 3 key areas: Transportation, Health-Culture, Office and People's Livelihood. On November 9, at Station S8 - Cau Giay Station, the Hanoi People's Committee held a commercial operation ceremony for the elevated section of the Hanoi pilot urban railway, Nhon - Hanoi station section, committing to develop the capital's urban railway system towards the goal of Net Zero by 2050.
The event marks an important milestone in the development of a modern, convenient urban transport network towards a green future and sustainable development for the capital Hanoi.
With a length of more than 12.5 km, the 8.5 km elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay has officially been put into commercial operation since 8:00 a.m. on August 8, 2024. After three months of commercial operation, the route has served more than 2 million passengers, reflecting great demand and strong support from the people.
The project to upgrade and expand the Au Co - Nghi Tam dyke road from the entrance to Thang Loi Hotel to Nhat Tan Bridge intersection, 3.7 km long, was inaugurated on October 4 after more than 4 years of construction, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. The road will be upgraded from 2 lanes to 4-6 lanes in each section after completion, helping to facilitate traffic, reduce congestion during rush hours, and improve the flood prevention capacity of the Hong Huu dike. The completed project has reduced traffic congestion on the main artery connecting Hanoi center via Nhat Tan Bridge to Noi Bai International Airport. The 40-meter wide road project connecting Nguyen Van Cu Street to the end of Ngoc Thuy Ward resettlement area has reached its finish line, practically celebrating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). The route is about 1.52 km long, starting at the intersection with Nguyen Van Cu street, ending at the intersection with the dike corridor road at lane 264 Ngoc Thuy.
This is the main route connecting Dong Tru bridge with Vinh Tuy bridge.
The project to build Hanoi Children's Hospital (Nguyen Trac - Yen Nghia) phase 1, with an area of 67,000 m2, was put into operation on October 9, 2024. This is the first children's hospital in Hanoi.
Hanoi Children's Hospital (phase 1) has a total investment of nearly 785 billion VND. The hospital bed scale, in phase I (2021-2024) is 200 inpatient beds, in the long term the total service capacity is 500 beds.
Hanoi Children's Palace is built on an area of nearly 40,000 m2 in the CV1 lake park in the new urban area of Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem district, consisting of two blocks of buildings, of which block A (front) has a theater, cinema...; block B has a library, astronomy tower, gymnasium, swimming pool... On December 1, 2024, the Hanoi Management Board of Investment and Construction of Technical Infrastructure and Agriculture Projects organized a trial operation of the Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity of 100,000 m3/day and night, increasing the city's wastewater treatment rate to 40%. The trial operation period is within 6 months; promising to revive the To Lich River, which has been polluted for many years.
Van Ho inter-agency area (Le Dai Hanh ward, Hai Ba Trung district) has a construction area of about 3,613m2, a 6-storey building, 1 technical floor and 3 basements.
Construction density 50%, total floor area about 17,540m2; total investment is 659 billion VND.
The new office of the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of Cau Giay District is located at 96 Tran Thai Tong; meeting the requirements of administrative modernization, with a total investment of more than 434 billion VND.
The project includes 185 functional rooms, serving 603 cadres, civil servants and public employees. Two conference halls with a capacity of 545 people and 9 online meeting rooms serve leadership, direction and management.
