TV director dies after falling from Nha Trang Sea Festival grandstand

The incident occurred on the afternoon of May 29, in front of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Convention Center (46 Tran Phu). While surveying the camera location at the grandstand of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, Mr. Pham Ngoc H. (born in 1963, residing in Nha Trang City) fell from the grandstand to the ground.

Mr. H. was taken to Khanh Hoa General Hospital but died. The incident is currently being verified and investigated by the authorities.

Mr. H. is a director of a television station in Khanh Hoa province. Immediately after the incident, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to review labor safety and ensure safety during the construction of the grandstand.

Previously, through bidding according to regulations, the Department of Culture and Sports selected Tan Thinh Phat Company Limited to construct the scaffolding.

Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival took place for the first time in 2003, is a national and international cultural - tourism event held every two years. In 2023, the festival will be held for the 10th time, with a scale that is considered grand, topical, colorful, and reflects the development trend of the province.
