In a statement released on the Telegram messaging app, the Russian Investigative Committee stated that the identities of the 10 victims identified matched the passenger list on the plane.

Earlier, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency announced the identities of all passengers and crew members on the crashed Embraer plane. The list includes Mr. Yevgeny Prigozhin and another commander of this force, Mr. Dmitry Utkin.

At around 6:20 p.m. Moscow time on August 23, an Embraer Legacy private jet believed to be owned by Mr. Prigozhin crashed in the Bologovsky district of Tver province. Russian President Vladimir Putin later expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and announced that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation would investigate the accident. On August 25, TASS news agency quoted the committee as saying that the bodies of 10 victims found at the scene had been subjected to DNA testing to determine their identities.
