On the night of September 3, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a new wave of combined drone and missile attacks on the rear areas of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in many areas.
According to local reports, Russian airstrikes targets included military airports in the Poltava and Mykolaiv regions.
Most recent airstrikes targeting Ukrainian forces have focused on both the tactical and strategic rear areas. Airstrikes targeting Ukrainian Armed Forces have been reported throughout the Kharkiv region, including the Chuguev region. Chuguev has become an important logistical hub for Ukrainian forces operating in the Russian-Ukrainian border area.
Among the attacks last night (September 3) was an attack on the strategic city of Dnipro. The attack was carried out with rockets. The local Ukrainian authorities have confirmed it.

Another Russian missile also struck, destroying the Grand Palace Hotel, which had been converted into a temporary base for Ukrainian officers and foreign mercenaries in the city of Zaporozhye. Local residents reported that a large number of ambulances arrived in the area after the attack.
On September 3, the city of Poltava also suffered a heavy attack from the Russian military. At around 9 a.m. local time, two large explosions occurred in the city and local residents also reported that many ambulances arrived at the area of the attacks. One of the targets was the 179th Signal Corps Training Center at 44 Zenkovskaya Street in Poltava.
Previously, AVP reported that on September 2, the Russian army also carried out a missile attack on the TES-2 "Eskhar" machine shop in the Kharkiv region.
Accordingly, on September 1, a missile attack occurred in the Kharkiv region, which resulted in the complete destruction of the machine shop at TES-2 "Eskhar". This was a serious blow to the region's energy infrastructure and could affect the stability of energy supplies in the Kharkiv region.
The machine shop destroyed in the attack is a key link in the thermal power plant's production process. The destruction of this facility significantly reduces the power generation capacity of TES-2 "Eskhar", which could cause power outages and affect the operation of important facilities and residential areas.
Images taken at the scene show that the attack caused serious damage.
