Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on December 25 that the final US aid package for Ukraine, which the outgoing Joe Biden administration plans to announce soon, will not guarantee Ukraine's security, according to TASS news agency.

Reuters previously reported that the Biden administration would soon announce a final aid package worth $1.2 billion for Ukraine. This package will include artillery shells and surface-to-air missiles, provided through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which operates under the direction of the U.S. Department of Defense.

Furthermore, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on the Rossiya-1 television channel's 60 Minutes program that Moscow has no illusions about the prospect of the conflict in Ukraine being resolved easily.
