Mr. Arseyev noted that the nuclear energy technologies that Russia is ready to provide to Indonesia for the development of joint energy projects include both high-power plants and small modular reactors.
Saying that the decision must be made by Indonesia depending on the needs of this Southeast Asian country, the Rosatom director affirmed: "Whether the capacity is large or small, Rosatom's products in any case will be reliable and safe technology, the effectiveness of which has been proven over time."
According to Mr. Arseyev, in Indonesia there are a number of organizations and government agencies that can act as qualified customers and partners to build nuclear facilities in the country.
In late July 2024, Indonesian President-elect and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto visited Russia and held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin.
