Recently, Vocket FC revealed that the Indonesian Football Federation spent an unbelievable amount of money to invite the Argentine team to play a friendly match.
Argentina team prepares for friendly match with Indonesia
The figure given by this newspaper is around 16 million USD (about 376 billion VND). In addition, there are many other additional fees.
“According to the report, PSSI spent 70 billion Rupiah, equivalent to 16 million USD (about 376 billion VND) to organize the match with the Argentina team.
This cost does not even include the logistics of the match, as well as the food and accommodation of the world champion," the newspaper said.
This means that the actual amount of money that PSSI spent on this friendly match is even higher.
This is quite a surprising revelation because previously many sources said that the archipelago country spent about 5 million euros (117 billion VND) to play a friendly match with the South American team.
Up to now, PSSI leaders are still keeping silent about the financial issue to organize this historic match.
“Don't talk about money around this match, we are not poor, so don't talk like we are poor.
I affirm that PSSI is working professionally and transparently. The match between Indonesia and Argentina cannot be measured by money.
We do everything for the country, not for money. PSSI will have an annual audit, I will inform everyone specifically after we finish the audit,” PSSI Chairman, Erick Thohir, declared.
As planned, the match between Indonesia and Argentina will take place on June 19 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta (Indonesia).
