The operational situation on the eastern and southern fronts of Ukraine remains complicated, according to the daily report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The report said that on December 3, Russia launched 1 missile, carried out 31 airstrikes, and 24 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on Ukrainian forces' positions.
On the Bakhmut front, Russians supported by aircraft attacked near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk, where the Defense Forces repelled about 16 attacks, according to Ukrainian reports.
Russia said Ukraine lost up to 300 soldiers in Donetsk, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, 2 vehicles, 1 D-20 gun, 1 D-30 gun, as well as 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.
On the Avdiivka front, the report said Russia conducted unsuccessful offensive operations east of the Novokalynove settlement, east of the Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sievierne and Pervomaiske settlements in Donetsk, where Ukrainian defense forces repelled 14 attacks.
On the Kupyansk front, Russian forces conducted offensive operations near the Synkivka settlements in the Kharkiv region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled seven attacks.

On the Lyman front, Russians, supported by air cover, attacked near the settlement of the Serebrianka forestry base in Luhansk. The Ukrainian Defense Forces reportedly repelled three attacks there.
Meanwhile, Russia said it repelled an attack by the Ukrainian 60th Mechanized Brigade and attacked other troop concentrations. Ukraine lost up to 250 soldiers on this front, according to Russian reports.
On the Marinka front, Ukraine repelled five attacks by Russian troops near the settlements of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk.
On the Zaporizhia front, Russian soldiers attempted three times to retake the positions they had lost south of the Robotyne settlement, and also attacked near the Novopokrovka settlement, but to no avail.
On the Kherson front, Russian troops conducted an air strike near the Krynky settlement in Kherson.
The Volyn and Polissia fronts have not seen any significant changes in the operational situation and there are no signs of Russian attack groups forming. However, the report points to the appearance of Belarusian military units “fulfilling their tasks” near the border with Ukraine.

Ukraine holds on to the left bank of the Dnieper River
The report said the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnieper River in Kherson Oblast and launched offensive attacks on the Russian side.
On December 3, Ukrainian Defense Forces aircraft carried out eight attacks on gathering points of personnel, weapons and military equipment, two attacks on air defense systems and two attacks on ammunition depots of Russian troops, according to the report.
Ukrainian missile units attacked heavy multiple launch rocket systems and Pantsir air defense systems.
Ukraine also confirmed that its air defense network destroyed 10 out of 12 Shahed UAVs launched by Russia.
