"Kiev's attempt to carry out a terrorist attack on facilities on Russian territory using drones was foiled. Air defense units on duty intercepted 16 Ukrainian drones, including 13 over Crimea and three over the territory of the Volgograd region," the Russian Defense Ministry said on November 24.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the country's air defense forces also shot down 12 drones in the Donetsk region, repelling two Ukrainian attacks near Kleshcheyevka. In addition, Russian troops also attacked enemy equipment caches near the settlements of Razdolovka, Kurdyumovka and Vasyukovka.

Recently, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Black Sea Fleet aircraft intercepted a group of Ukrainian ships heading towards the Crimean peninsula in the Black Sea on November 17. The group of ships included a high-speed boat carrying landing troops and seven unmanned surface vehicles.
Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula after a referendum in 2014. Ukraine and Western countries consider the move illegal. Ukraine has vowed to take back Crimea "at all costs", including military means.
Ukraine has repeatedly attacked Crimea with unmanned aerial vehicles at sea, targeting Russian port infrastructure and military ships stationed on the peninsula.
On November 10, the Ukrainian military used suicide boats to attack two small Russian landing ships in Crimea. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the two landing ships were Project 11770 class ships in the Black Sea Fleet.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said on November 16 that Ukraine had gained the initiative in the Black Sea thanks to the use of drones.
According to Mr. Zelensky, since the early days of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, Moscow has blockaded Ukraine's Black Sea ports and damaged port infrastructure, making it impossible to export grain, disrupting the global food market.
The Russia-Ukraine conflict has dragged on and become a war of attrition. There has been a sense of fatigue in the US and other Western countries that have provided aid to Kiev. Slovakia has announced that it will stop providing aid to Ukraine.
Many peace proposals for the conflict have been put forward, but have not yet yielded results due to differences in views between Russia and Ukraine.
The West continues to pump weapons into Ukraine to confront Russia. Moscow believes that the decision of the US and NATO countries to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine makes negotiations between Russia and Ukraine "meaningless".
Russia has repeatedly accused the US and its allies of deliberately trying to prolong the conflict, warning the West not to provide weapons to Ukraine, stressing that this would only escalate the conflict and cause unnecessary casualties without changing the situation of the war.
