(CLO) On January 22, in Hanoi, the project "Vietnamese Traits" was launched with the goal of preserving cultural values that are at risk of being lost, while promoting sustainable socio-economic development in rural areas.
The project “Vietnamese Traits” - Gen Z's Journey to the Village - is a project aimed at preserving the quintessence of Vietnamese culture, conserving cultural values that are at risk of being lost, and at the same time promoting sustainable socio-economic development in rural areas.
The project "Vietnamese Traits" - Gen Z's Journey to the Village was born with the aspiration to awaken national pride, connect the young generation with cultural quintessence, and breathe life into heritage through the creative and youthful lens of Gen Z.
The project focuses on recording and broadcasting videos on Youtube documenting the journey of following Gen Z to discover traditional values across Vietnam with the accompaniment of Tiktoker Media Ambassador Giao Cun.
The project includes 3 main series: “Gen Z returns to the village”: Focuses on exploring traditional craft villages that are facing the risk of extinction, connecting craft village culture with young people; “Gen Z with Vietnamese Flavors”: Explores the history of Vietnamese cuisine through each region, recreating the processing process and telling the cultural story behind each dish; “Gen Z with Vietnamese Heritage”: Brings a youthful perspective on folk arts such as Cheo, Tuong, folk dance and traditional music.
Through hundreds of videos made over 5 years, the project is like a "living museum" that authentically records the cultural quintessence of craft villages from all regions of the S-shaped strip of land.
Ms. Pham Thi Hanh Chi, Founder and Producer of “Vietnamese Traits” shared with the Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper: "Culture and history is a difficult field to approach, especially for young people. We spent a lot of time thinking about how to make Gen Z love culture more, because culture is the values formed from life, and the craft villages that preserve the quintessence are gradually fading away. By using rich images and youthful expressions, we hope that traditional culture will become closer to the younger generation."
"Net Viet Nam is the concretization of my love and concern for the Vietnamese culture and the Net Viet Nam team. My team and I not only want to preserve traditional beauty but also want today's youth to understand and love these values through the most realistic and genuine experiences of Vietnamese craft villages, cuisine and heritage", Ms. Pham Thi Hanh Chi, Founder and Production Director of "Net Viet Nam" shared more.
Participating in this project with strong cultural values, Le Pham Phuong Linh expressed her strong passion for national culture and her desire to spread artistic values closer to the younger generation.
"In just the past 6 months, I have seen a clear shift in young people's interest in culture and art. This is the golden time for meaningful projects like this to spread strongly, arousing love and national pride in the community," said Phuong Linh.
The “Vietnamese Traits” project aims to preserve and promote national cultural values through the creative and dynamic perspective of Gen Z. Not only is it a place to provide information, the project also strongly inspires, encourages young people to learn, love and be proud of the history and unique cultural beauty of the country. At the same time, it aims at the long-term goal of promoting awareness of heritage conservation, developing the local economy and protecting the landscape and environment.
