The role of parks
In simple terms, a park is a place to organize cultural, sports, entertainment and community service activities. In developed cities, parks are extremely useful green lungs.

Dien Ban currently has 25 parks of different sizes. There are 5 parks with an area of over 10 thousand square meters, the largest is Me Thu Park in Dien Thang Trung Ward with over 21 thousand square meters, the rest are small parks, small village parks...
With the urban space structure formed from the old village model, perhaps the value of parks has not been fully appreciated. Even in the place known as the oldest street of Dien Ban such as Vinh Dien or the densely populated areas in Dien Ngoc, Dien Nam, there are still many green areas, so the park space has not been truly appreciated.
Dien Ban people are not really “surrounded” in a stuffy, polluted urban space. Because, apart from newly formed urban and residential areas, almost all houses and civil works are located along traffic routes. Behind the roofs of the houses along the roads are rice fields, beaches, and there are even many houses and residential areas located in the middle of the fields.
In the old village residential layout of Dien Ban, only two areas, Dien Quang and Dien Tho, were meticulously planned by our ancestors, with villages arranged horizontally and vertically along a chessboard.
And the master plan until 2045, Dien Ban is an ecological urban area, developing urban space in a green direction. But that does not mean that planning parks in Dien Ban town is not necessary. On the contrary, this is a strategic investment, with positive impacts on social life and the urban environment, especially in the context of increasingly narrowing public land funds.
Theme Park
Currently, the park in Dien Ban is being built with cultural and historical themes of the homeland. This is the distinctive highlight, creating the attraction in the urban architecture of Dien Ban.
The center of Vinh Dien is Thanh Nien Park with a bronze statue of heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi, over 5m high. The monument of the heroic militiaman Hoang Truong - a project associated with the twinning relationship between the two localities of Hoang Hoa - Dien Ban is located in the small park of Dien Minh ward, next to National Highway 1 named Hoang Hoa.
Also on this route, going north, at the head of Thanh Quyt bridge, is a small park associated with the historical relic of Ngu Giap fort - whose artistic symbol is the image of the ox cart that our army and people used in this battle.
Continuing to the border of Da Nang city, the park named after Mother Thu has just completed phase 1, contributing to creating conditions for propaganda activities, traditional education and visits to the memorial house of heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi and Dien Ban martyr cemetery.
Going down to the East, there is the Victory Monument of the Dien Ngoc Warriors in the middle of an open park space located right at the intersection of Dien Ngoc ward...
The system of large-scale parks above are all invested from the town budget. With the orientation of building Dien Ban ecological urban area, the town government creates conditions to attract tourism projects associated with preserving and promoting local cultural values.
Recently, the Thanh Chiem Palace Park and the National Language Center in Dien Phuong are also completing the ground. In the coming time, the town government said that it will continue to complete this park by connecting with businesses to form a stopover for tourists.
Furthermore, in Dien Trung, the town has also planned Go Noi square park with the orientation of building a space imbued with the cultural and historical identity of this alluvial land rich in culture.
There are still many problems in the completion as well as the management and promotion of values, but initially, the park system in Dien Ban has created its own unique features, promising to be useful spaces in the urban life of the future.
