'Muse' was once a good Literature student competing in Miss World Vietnam 2023

Do Tran Ngoc Thao (SBD 311) is one of the contestants with the most lovely face at Miss World Vietnam 2023 with delicate features and a sweet smile.

She was born in 2001, from Ho Chi Minh City, 1.68 m tall, with measurements of 90-61-88 cm. The beauty is currently a student at Hong Bang International University, and was in the top 20 finalists and top 18 Miss Charity Vietnam 2022.

Sharing with VietNamNet, Ngoc Thao said that she competed in Miss World Vietnam to get out of her comfort zone and become more complete. The 22-year-old beauty was happy to be in the top 40, considering this a milestone halfway to conquering her dream and hoping to break through in the final round.

Born into a poor family, Ngoc Thao considers this lucky. She became independent at the age of 15, worked many jobs to make ends meet, so she has a realistic view of the dark side of many professions.

Now that things are more stable, Ngoc Thao thanks herself for not giving up in the face of difficulties and challenges.

The female student is currently studying Business Administration at Hong Bang International University. She loves this field, has been in business since she was still in school, so she has accumulated a lot of experience. The 10x founded and is running a Japanese imported cosmetics brand.

Ngoc Thao pursues the image of a young, dynamic, confident girl who dares to think and dare to do, so she chose to major in Business Administration to gain more knowledge and practice leadership thinking. She wishes to become a successful businesswoman, build her own career, and contribute many useful things to society.

During her school years, the beauty won the Literature prize at the district and city levels. She attended the study and exchange program in Singapore: Masters of the Century Singapore 2019, and was in the top 10 of Miss Hong Bang Student 2020.

Besides, Thao has received many certificates of student active contribution in community activities, voluntary blood donation, and Youth Union - Association work at school.

Having worked hard to earn money since early childhood and witnessed many difficult situations, Ngoc Thao is passionate about charity activities. She participated in the program of giving 5,000 Tet gifts to the Blind Association of Cho Gao District ( Tien Giang Province) in 2022, and the charity project of Lonely Knight Minh at Miss Vietnam 2022.

The 10x also regularly gives gifts and meals to homeless people in Ho Chi Minh City, hoping to spread love to lonely elderly people who make a living every night on the streets.

Praised for her beautiful appearance and well-proportioned figure, few people know that Ngoc Thao was once a victim of body shaming due to early puberty. “I went through a difficult time because my body was different from my peers, I was always scrutinized, and became the focus of gossip in class. Those gossips made me self-conscious and withdrawn. However, I rose up, using negative comments as motivation to improve myself, to become more confident and courageous,” she confided to VietNamNet.

Mother is the person who inspires Ngoc Thao the most, teaching her to live a strong and independent life. “My mother is brave, full of love for her family, always devoted to her children, not afraid of difficulties to give me and my younger brother a good life. My mother is a role model for me to follow and develop” , the female student confided.

The beauty has a special passion for cuisine , comfortably eats with friends but works out hard to stay in shape. Whenever she has free time, she likes to hang out with friends to explore new places to eat around Saigon. The 10x is always ready to introduce Vietnamese cuisine and cultural beauty to international friends.

Currently, Ngoc Thao is practicing interviewing, performing, and maintaining good health and a clear mind to fight her best in the final stage of the competition.

“On the journey to Miss World Vietnam, I have been trying to develop myself, promote my strengths, learn many useful things to share and grow more,” she confided.
