In the past 2 years, the artificial intelligence (AI) "race" has not simply stopped at technology research and development. Technology "giants" such as Microsoft and Google are quickly applying AI to the application suites that have made their names.

Typical examples include Copilot from Microsoft and Gemini from Google.

Virtual assistant Copilot from Microsoft

Copilot is an AI-powered virtual assistant that automatically combines information from the web, work data, and tasks you're performing to provide the most relevant suggestions, answers, and support. Copilot is available across the Microsoft ecosystem: from Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Edge, to Bing.

In Microsoft 365 alone, the integration of Copilot is considered by experts to be a “revolutionary” turning point. A series of operations that millions of Microsoft 365 users previously spent time performing every day are now being handled by Copilot.

Specifically, the applications are still familiar: Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive... but with the presence of AI assistant, users seem to have an additional "right hand". Outstanding features include: suggesting ideas, suggesting content, composing emails, editing spelling, analyzing data, visualizing data, summarizing meeting content, automatically scheduling meetings, searching for information, synthesizing data...

“A breath of fresh air” at Google Workspace

On Google’s side, Google Workspace has also just witnessed a major change. With the presence of Gemini, Google Workspace is said to be able to reduce human involvement in repetitive tasks by up to 80%. At the same time, this AI unleashes creativity and changes the habits of millions of business users.

Gemini is essentially a large language model (LLM) with powerful natural language processing (NLP) capabilities. At the time of its “launch,” Google confidently claimed that Gemini was its largest and most powerful AI model.

Gemini is integrated directly into the most typical applications of Google Workspace, acting as an everyday AI assistant. Support from text editing, idea suggestion, script creation, text translation, poetry composition to email writing, table creation, image design, call quality improvement... all are easy with Gemini.

In just the last 5 years, our country has witnessed a strong growth in the trend of digitalizing businesses with cloud applications. With the new Gemini and Copilot, Vietnamese businesses will have more options to optimize work performance.

According to the press release of the two companies, both Gemini and Copilot are being offered as add-on packages. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hien - CEO of Cryptographic Technology Company Limited, this means that businesses need to have a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace license respectively to be able to purchase additional add-ons.
