Heat waves may last for many days in areas across the country.

From April 18, heat waves may occur widely in the Central region, deltas, midlands of the North and the South.

The heat wave is likely to last for many days in the North, Central and South regions. The risk of natural disasters due to heat is level 1.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from April to July, hot weather is likely to occur in many areas, especially the Northwest region (Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau...) and provinces from Phu Yen to Binh Thuan , Kom Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak.

In addition, from mid-April to late April, heat waves tend to become stronger in the Northwest and Central regions, so beware of severe heat waves.

Heat waves continue to appear widely in the Southeast region and tend to increase in the Central Highlands and Southwest regions; at the same time, heat waves tend to increase more in the North, North and North Central regions from the second half of April.

Due to the effects of heat combined with low humidity, there is a risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires. In addition, heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.

To protect the health of people and their families during hot days, hydrometeorological experts recommend that people limit going out between 11am and 2pm every day. If you have to go out, wear long-sleeved and long-legged clothes and wear a hat to cover your head and face to protect your skin as much as possible.

People need to supplement enough and moderate water every day and every hour (it is best to choose types of water such as: filtered water, fruit juice, pure green vegetable juice...) to prevent heat and compensate for lost water./.
