Dynamically organize, connect, and improve the effectiveness of movements

In 2015, after graduating from university with a degree in Analytical Chemistry from Can Tho University, Mr. Thanh became Secretary of the Youth Union of Area 4, An Khanh Ward. In 2016, he was assigned to be Deputy Secretary of the Ward Youth Union, then Secretary of the An Khanh Ward Youth Union until now. After 10 years of working in the ward, Mr. Thanh has always fulfilled his duties well, contributing to the locality in doing well the social security work and implementing many meaningful projects and tasks for the people to benefit from.

Mr. Thanh shared: “To be able to do well in the work of the Youth Union, you must have passion and determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges. Thanks to participating in the work of the Union, I have been trained and learned many valuable lessons to become more mature in work and life”. With the spirit of volunteering, Mr. Thanh and the Youth Union members of An Khanh Ward have carried out many practical projects and tasks in the locality. Most recently, in March 2025, Mr. Thanh and the Youth Union members of the ward launched the construction of a "Civilized, safe, green, clean, beautiful" road on Tran Bach Dang Street, 500m long. Ms. Lam My Ngoc in Area 4 said: Previously, this road looked shabby because garbage was not placed in the right place. Thanks to Mr. Thanh and the Youth Union, in coordination with the police and military forces of the ward to handle the "black spots" of waste, erase illegal billboards, and at the same time propagate to people to keep the environment clean and not encroach on the sidewalk, Tran Bach Dang street is now cleaner and more beautiful.

As the person who plays the role of "passing on the fire" for the Youth Union and the local youth movement, Mr. Thanh is always flexible, connecting philanthropists and sister units to join the Ward Youth Union to do a good job of social security work. Typically, the work of caring for children, supporting school supplies for students, and giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances in the ward. La Dong Minh Phuong, a 7th grader at An Khanh Secondary School, shared: "From the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, I have received support of 300,000 VND/month from Mr. Thanh and his colleagues at the An Khanh Ward Youth Union and philanthropists. In addition, I also received rice, noodles and school supplies... I am very happy and thank you for your care and help for my family". From the beginning of 2025 until now, Mr. Thanh and the An Khanh Ward Youth Union have mobilized 170 gifts, worth 55 million VND, to give to children, disabled children, union members and people in difficult circumstances in the ward...

Mr. Thanh shared: “I always arrange and organize my work scientifically and reasonably to achieve the best results in performing assigned tasks. Together with the ward Youth Union, I effectively carry out movements launched by the higher-level Youth Union; actively participate in volunteer activities for the community; protect the environment and build a civilized urban area in the locality.”
