Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street connects Ha Huy Tap ward and Nghi Phu and Hung Loc communes, is an important traffic junction in Vinh city, therefore, upgrading and expanding this road to reduce traffic congestion and ensure urban beauty is always of special concern to the people.

Currently, Vinh City is focusing on clearing the land to construct this road, from Truong Van Linh/Tue Tinh Street to Bui Huy Bich Street. This section will pass through Ha Huy Tap Ward and Nghi Phu Commune. Many people in the clearance area have agreed to the compensation plan so that the road can be constructed soon.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Vinh - a resident of Ha Huy Tap ward, whose land area is located right next to the bottleneck, said: My family has 1,000m2 of land and about 300m2 of land must be cleared to upgrade the road. After the policy was issued, I completely agreed and carried out the procedures for the city to reclaim the land and received compensation. I hope the remaining households will also soon agree with the policy so that the road can be upgraded soon.

Mr. Le Quang Hien - Secretary of the Yen Son block Party cell, Ha Huy Tap ward, is also one of 15 households with land area subject to clearance in the ward, said: Right from the time of the road upgrade project, I completely agreed because this road was both narrow and degraded, and countless accidents happened every year. Regarding the road upgrade policy, 15/15 households agreed, only some households did not agree with the compensation level. As the block Party cell secretary, I regularly do ideological work, mobilize people, and aim for the common good so that the city becomes more modern, people can travel on the road more conveniently, and there will be no more traffic jams or accidents like before.

According to information from the Ha Huy Tap ward authorities, up to now, 6 households in the area have agreed with the State's compensation plan and have received money to hand over the land, including 2 households located right at the bamboo bottleneck, namely the families of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Ha and Nguyen Trung Vinh - this is the most difficult point to clear on the road. The remaining households are in the process of agreeing on the compensation plan and will soon hand over the land in the near future.
According to the reporter, immediately after the households handed over the land, Vinh City mobilized machinery and human resources to carry out the construction of upgrading and expanding Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street to meet the set schedule.

A representative of the Vinh City Project Management Board - the construction unit of the road said: The city's guiding principle is to clear the land to where it is needed, and not wait until it is completely cleared to start construction. Currently, the unit is expanding the roadway and building a drainage system for households that have handed over the land, and those that hand over later will be connected according to the design.
It is known that the expanded Hai Thuong Lan Ong road is poured with 7cm thick asphalt concrete, the base layer is made of 20cm thick standard crushed stone, the top layer is made of 15cm thick standard crushed stone. The road is designed with curbs, ditches, paved and curbs, the sidewalks are paved with Terrazzo tiles, and both sides are planted with shade trees. The road has a 2m wide irrigation ditch, with collection pits, inspection pits, and ditch panels.

The route will be invested in a synchronous lighting system, water pipes will be restored to match the road surface planning, some new underground power cables will be installed, and overhead power lines will be dismantled and recovered.
