The course has now entered its third phase with many intensive training activities in Australia, providing knowledge and practical skills on gender equality, diversity and inclusion, to support students in enhancing female leadership and promoting sustainable development.

After the first two foundational training phases in Hanoi and Binh Dinh (Vietnam), the 6th course “Journey to Support Women in Leadership” took participants to 4 major cities in Australia: Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth to learn about Australia’s experience on gender equality and explore methods of applying the experience in the context of Vietnam.

Trainees gain in-depth knowledge of contemporary gender equality issues and gender-sensitive management skills – key elements in increasing women’s representation in leadership positions and mainstreaming gender in decision-making at all levels.

The third leg of the journey also provides participants with an opportunity to expand their connections with Australian colleagues and experts. The enhanced international connections will open up opportunities for future collaboration to address the many challenges facing women leaders, promoting inclusive, equitable and sustainable development in their organisations and communities.
