The training program “Promoting energy saving for business leaders in the seafood industry” is an activity under Component 2: Technical support of the VSUEE Project. Component 2 of the Project will provide technical support to enhance the capacity of project participants, develop and complete the policy framework, implementation guidelines, support energy saving activities, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and respond to climate change.

Accordingly, this training course focuses on the following main contents: (i) Strengthening capacity in identifying and developing energy saving projects; (ii) Energy auditing and financial analysis for energy saving projects; (iii) Introduction and application of measurement, reporting and appraisal systems; (iv) Marketing and business strategies for enterprises.
At the training course, trainees who are leaders of enterprises in the field of aquaculture listened to the experience sharing of experts who are lecturers of technical universities, energy saving experts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and energy saving experts of domestic and foreign projects.
Through the training program, the Project aims to raise awareness among industrial enterprise leaders that energy saving is not only a legal requirement but also a profitable investment opportunity and enhances competitiveness. When equipped with technical and financial expertise related to energy saving projects, leaders can make decisions more quickly and effectively, thereby choosing suitable and feasible technological solutions for their enterprises.
In addition, understanding support mechanisms, credit guarantees and financial incentives also helps leaders proactively access green capital sources, while increasing their ability to convince credit institutions or investors. In addition, active participation of leaders creates the driving force to change corporate culture, turning energy-saving activities into part of the sustainable development strategy. Competent leadership also helps to coordinate more effectively with internal departments as well as with external partners such as technical consultants, banks, or solution providers. From there, businesses can implement energy-saving projects in a comprehensive, systematic and more effective manner.
According to information from the VSUEE Project Management Board, there will be 06 remaining programs organized according to the curriculum content that is researched separately and applicable to each industry group, including: Textiles; Paper and pulp; Bricks and ceramics; Iron and steel; Cement; and Plastics.
