(BGDT) - On the afternoon of June 24, at the Cultural House of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Bac Giang Provincial Youth Union organized a forum on digital transformation (CĐS) in promoting OCOP products for young people with the content "Exploiting the potential of the digital economy in promoting OCOP products".

Attending the event were comrade Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Executive Committee, Chairman of the Central Youth Union Inspection Committee; representatives of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, the Central New Rural Area Coordination Office under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. On the side of Bac Giang province, there were comrade Mai Son, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of a number of departments, branches and sectors.

Speaking here, comrade Mai Son emphasized: Up to now, Bac Giang has had 205 products meeting OCOP standards. The number of OCOP certified products has increased; the design, model and quality of products have been improved, gradually forming a group of typical products of the region, meeting well the market demand. In recent years, the province has also achieved outstanding results in the field of digital transformation.

The forum will focus on digital transformation application solutions in promoting OCOP products in Bac Giang province, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the province's OCOP program in the coming period.

This is an opportunity for units, cooperatives, cooperative groups, production and business establishments of young people in the province to approach and connect with digital transformation experts in promoting and advertising OCOP products as well as sharing experiences in applying digital transformation in this field.

At the same time, it is an opportunity for provincial leaders and departments, branches, sectors and localities to grasp the legitimate aspirations and aspirations of young people on the path to self-reliance, career development and the aspiration to master science and technology. The forum is necessary at the present stage, when Bac Giang province is focusing on building a digital economy in promoting OCOP products and local specialties to develop the economy and successfully implement the national goal of digital transformation.

Comrade Ngo Van Cuong said that, along with the strengths of OCOP products in Bac Giang province, the Central Youth Union Secretariat hopes that in the coming time, the pioneering young labor force, which is the youth union members in the province, will exploit the maximum potential of the digital economy to promote and advertise OCOP products. This forum helps entities, businesses, and people access the necessary knowledge and skills to develop on digital platforms, orient their thinking and exploit the potential of the digital economy to improve the effectiveness of promoting OCOP products.

Youth Union members share concerns in e-commerce business.

Here, delegates focused on exchanging and discussing the following contents: Exploiting the potential of digital economy in developing, promoting and consuming OCOP products; digital economy from the perspective of e-commerce; promoting local resources in digital space. Through the sharing of successful sellers on digital platforms in regions across the country on the formula for building sales channels and building product brands.

This confirms the high efficiency of e-commerce business, especially livestreaming, which can bring sellers millions of interactions with a high closing rate. This is considered an effective solution to overcome the situation of "good harvest, low price" of agricultural products.

In particular, youth union members, cooperatives, youth cooperative groups, small and medium-sized enterprises, farms, production and business households, and OCOP subjects who are young people in Bac Giang province are suggested ways to build a sales channel for local OCOP products, including lychee, a fruit that has been certified as 5-star. To do this successfully, it is necessary to identify the advantages of the locality, the goals of establishing a sales channel and the audience, choose products, create stories to promote and introduce.

Speakers from state agencies, representatives of e-commerce platforms, sellers on TikTok and nationwide shared about exploiting the potential of the digital economy in developing, promoting and consuming OCOP products.

According to Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam, the unit is carrying out a number of promotional activities, introducing the image of Bac Giang to domestic and foreign friends through the channel "BacGiangDaSac". At the same time, actively supporting and creating favorable conditions for entities to build channels to sell OCOP products of Bac Giang. In particular, organizing livestreams to sell specialties: Chu noodles, Luc Ngan lychees has been launched and initially brought high efficiency.

Responding to concerns about the characteristics of agricultural products being heavy, high shipping costs, and if customers return the goods, the products will likely be damaged and difficult to sell, a representative of Viettel Post Joint Stock Company (Viettel Post) said that they have prepared infrastructure conditions to serve the transportation of these products. That is, together with the manufacturer, they pack the products in foam boxes, ice, use refrigerated trucks, cold storage in places with large quantities of goods, and use different forms of transportation connections, ensuring that agricultural orders in the North will reach customers within 24 hours.

To encourage young people, production and business households, and enterprises to promote the production and trading of OCOP products on digital platforms, a representative of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the industry will support units to open e-commerce booths to promote and introduce products widely; coordinate with businesses and functional sectors inside and outside the province to support product transportation, brand building, designs, labels, and traceability. At the same time, support for customs procedures, international economic contracts; brand protection, etc.
