Improving digital sales skills for women-owned businesses and microenterprises Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization staff imparted online business knowledge in an intensive consulting course held in Quang Thach commune.

Nowadays, along with traditional business, business based on e-commerce and social networking platforms is an inevitable trend. However, for women living in rural areas, coastal areas, and mountainous areas, access to knowledge and skills to "integrate" into cyberspace and participate in online sales is still limited.

As an organization operating for the purpose of community development, Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization always identifies: Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play an essential role and contribute significantly to economic growth and employment in Vietnam. However, most MSMEs in general, micro-enterprises, small businesses and women-owned businesses in particular always face many challenges in the process of building and developing, including limitations in management, updating and applying technology, market connectivity... From understanding the trends and difficulties of these customers, Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization has implemented many timely support measures, contributing to improving skills and knowledge about expanding business activities in the digital environment, thereby helping micro-enterprises, small businesses and traders increase revenue, not being left behind in the global digitalization process.

Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization has actively participated in connecting with foreign organizations with the same community development goals such as The Asia Foundation (TAF), Center for Women and Development (CWD), Payoneer, Care International in Vietnam..., targeting women small traders, female entrepreneurs to build programs and training courses to improve management skills, consulting skills, and sales for these groups. The project "Growing My Business" (AMB) has been and is being implemented as a vivid proof.

AMB is a project organized by The Asia Foundation (TAF), Center for Women and Development (CWD); Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization is the implementing partner in Thanh Hoa province. The AMB project aims to provide basic financial, business and digital knowledge to small, micro and developing enterprises in Vietnam in disadvantaged areas, those who lack conditions, access to knowledge and skills necessary to develop and digitize their businesses. It is expected that about 10,000 female micro-entrepreneurs, household businesses and small traders will have access to knowledge and skills to manage their businesses well, expand their network of operations and develop sales based on online sales.

Many practical and effective activities are implemented within the framework of the project such as: Consulting and supporting female entrepreneurs and small traders to access the lecture system provided by the project to participate in courses suitable for each subject. After the courses, students will participate in specialized consulting classes to help them better understand and apply the knowledge they have learned to their actual business. 10% of them will receive specialized consulting in the form of direct consulting experts. Students who are eager to learn and actively apply it to develop their business will be supported with additional working tools and participate in advanced classes to develop even better.

Within the framework of the activities, Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization recently organized an in-depth consulting course on increasing revenue from developing e-commerce business with the participation of 30 students in Quang Thach commune (Quang Xuong). The consulting course also had the participation of the Women's Union and local authorities. The lecturers are experts of Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization with 10-20 years of experience working in the financial sector. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan in Quang Thach commune, said: "The consulting course provided by Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization has very close and useful content, the way of communication is easy to remember and understand, helping me learn a lot of new knowledge".

Accordingly, the consulting course focuses on specific contents such as: Introducing the importance of expanding online business; current e-commerce platforms, advantages and disadvantages of each type and how to choose the right solution for each specific business model; how to create a booth on Shopee; types of fees and taxes to pay when participating in sales on Shopee; how to sell on Facebook, Zalo; how to have an effective live stream to close orders; how to take photos, edit product photos to increase attractiveness to customers; how to add logos and text to product photos to enhance the brand; customer care skills; information data security and safety in the digital environment...
