On the afternoon of December 19, in Hanoi, the Party Central Committee Secretariat held a national conference to review the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. General Secretary To Lam chaired and directed the conference.
Attending the conference were Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security.
Also attending were the Central Party Secretaries, Central Party Committee members, standing representatives of Party committees, Inspection Commissions of Party committees directly under the Central Committee; departments and units of the Central Inspection Commission.
The conference was held in person at the Central Party Hall, connecting online to 63 points of the Central Inspection Commission, provincial Party Committees, city Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee.

The report at the conference showed that under the leadership of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party committees and inspection committees at all levels, they have proactively developed, implemented and completed the inspection and supervision work program and plan for 2024, contributing to the continued successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; at the same time, they have completed a large amount of work assigned by the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption, waste and negativity in a short time and with very high requirements.
The important results in the inspection and supervision work of the Party inspection sector in recent times have had a great effect in warning, alerting, deterring, preventing, and stopping early and remotely violations of Party organizations and Party members, especially the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, corruption, waste, negativity, group interests, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; enhancing the responsibility of leaders of Party committees, Party organizations and cadres and Party members, contributing to the work of building a clean and strong Party, strengthening solidarity and unity within the Party and perfecting institutions and policies, removing bottlenecks and bottlenecks, promoting socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security, and maintaining people's trust in the Party, State and regime.
Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, General Secretary To Lam warmly welcomed and commended the achievements of Party committees and inspection committees at all levels in the Party's inspection and supervision work since the beginning of the term as well as in 2024. The General Secretary pointed out that in addition to the results and achievements that have been achieved, the inspection sector must also be frank, open-minded, and seriously acknowledge some limitations and shortcomings in order to promptly overcome and correct them.
The General Secretary emphasized that the period from now until the end of the term is a very important period to complete the tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution 18 of the 12th Central Executive Committee on streamlining the political system's apparatus, operating effectively and efficiently, and the Central Committee's resolutions on Party building and rectification; preparing for Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

The General Secretary requested that Party committees, Party organizations and inspection committees at all levels continue to synchronously implement solutions to prevent violations and negativity; strictly handle violations based on the principle of "if there are violations, they must be concluded and handled," "no forbidden areas, no exceptions"; strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The General Secretary requested to urgently arrange and streamline the apparatus of the inspection committee in accordance with the plan of the Steering Committee to ensure synchronization, unity, streamlining-strong-efficient-effective-effectiveness to meet the requirements of new tasks. Streamlining the apparatus goes hand in hand with restructuring the organization, the inspection staff at all levels must ensure adequate qualities, capacity, and be equal to the task.
The Central Inspection Commission urgently studies and reviews to advise on timely amendments and supplements to the Party's regulations on inspection and supervision work in accordance with the new Party organization model nationwide; ensuring proper authority, functions and tasks; properly implementing the principle that wherever there are activities of Party organizations and Party members, there must be inspection and supervision, not leaving any areas or fields vacant. Advise on the development and promulgation of coordination regulations between the Central Inspection Commission and a number of Party organizations immediately after completing the project to rearrange and streamline the apparatus.
Continue to strongly innovate inspection and supervision methods and approaches.
The General Secretary noted that it is necessary to continue to strongly innovate inspection and supervision methods and methods; promote digital transformation and apply information technology to further improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of inspection, supervision and discipline work of the Party.

The General Secretary emphasized active participation in the process of drafting documents for the 14th National Party Congress and subcommittees and working groups to prepare for Party Congresses at all levels. Inspection committees at all levels focus on advising Party committees, inspecting and supervising the research, dissemination and implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, Resolution 18 of the 12th Central Executive Committee on streamlining the apparatus of the political system, operating effectively and efficiently; assessing personnel related to the congress and personnel of inspection committees at all levels serving the congress; focusing on implementing the key task of inspecting Party organizations and Party members when there are signs of violations, thoroughly resolving denunciations and complaints, especially those related to Party Committee personnel of the upcoming term before the Congress.
