NDO - On November 21, in Da Nang city, the National Assembly Delegation Affairs Committee, the National Assembly Office and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (Germany) jointly organized the Conference "Training advisory skills to serve the review of draft laws for Office staff".

This is one of the activities within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Office of the National Assembly and the Hanns Seidel Foundation on the Project "Strengthening the capacity of the Office of the National Assembly and the legislative capacity of National Assembly deputies for the goal of sustainable socio-economic development in Vietnam".

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Dai Thang, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation Affairs Committee, emphasized: Staff work plays a particularly important role in the leadership, management and operation of all state administrative agencies.

The advisory function of the Office is affirmed in practical activities and is regulated and institutionalized in important documents of Party and State agencies.

With the spirit of "Advice is to serve, in service there is advice", in recent years, the National Assembly, the agencies of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Office have regularly paid attention to and closely directed the improvement of the advisory capacity of civil servants with many policies, contents, forms, and rich and flexible measures...

During the 2 days of November 21 and 22, delegates attending the Conference listened to, exchanged and discussed 5 topics: Overview of the activities of reviewing and considering the Law-making Program and draft Laws; The role of Office staff in advising and serving the activities of reviewing and considering the Law-making Program and draft Laws; Skills in collecting, synthesizing and processing information in advising and serving the activities of reviewing and considering the Law-making Program and draft Laws; Skills in advising on organizing supervision activities and expert seminars to serve National Assembly deputies in reviewing and considering draft Laws; Skills in advising on contributing opinions on draft Laws...

Strengthening the capacity of the National Assembly Office staff and the legislative capacity of National Assembly deputies for the goal of sustainable socio-economic development.

According to statistics, in the first 9 months of 2024, the staff of the National Assembly Office, the Office of the National Assembly delegation and the People's Councils of provinces and cities jointly advised and served 5 National Assembly sessions; 24 meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The National Assembly reviewed and approved 13 Laws and 4 Resolutions, gave opinions on 11 draft Laws; conducted supreme supervision on 1 topic; and served 6 supervision delegations of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The Office of the National Assembly and the Committees of the National Assembly have advised and served the Standing Committee of the National Assembly in organizing 7 important conferences; 27 sessions and conferences of the Party delegation of the National Assembly and 2,700 meetings, conferences, sessions and receptions of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, and agencies of the National Assembly.
