According to this male student, he is wondering and considering between the schools he has been accepted to to find the most suitable one, especially in the future, Anh Minh wants to continue pursuing perfume projects if possible.

Got into college thanks to… perfume
Minh said that his sister often uses cosmetics and perfumes. Around the beginning of middle school, every time he went into his sister's room to play with things, the layers of scent from the cosmetics stimulated his sense of smell, making him love it very much.
There were times when I went to events, the scent of the person I met often made an impression on me even though I had never met them before. My love for perfume grew every day, especially when I won an award, my parents rewarded me with my favorite bottle of perfume, making my perfume collection at one point reach 40 bottles.
Around 9th grade, the male student realized that he could not keep asking his parents for support to satisfy his passion for perfume, so he decided to start a business doing exactly what he loved.
"From the perfume bottles I already have, I decant them into smaller bottles and then resell them to people in need on online groups. Minh's decanted bottles are mainly 5-10 ml, but to "get a better price", I often keep 30-40 ml in the original bottle to sell with the packaging. After two months, the profit Minh earned from selling perfume was about 7.5 million VND.
Minh uses the profits from the perfume business to carry out projects and extracurricular activities. In 10th grade, Minh carried out the "Love You" project, supporting disadvantaged students in Moc Chau, Son La province.
Minh and his friends bought school supplies, organized fun activities, and repainted dilapidated classrooms in many schools. He also provided meals for more than 10 students in the highlands through another person's "Raising Children" fund.
According to this male student, the reason he joined to support meals for students in remote areas is because he is a student, and connecting or learning about difficult circumstances in remote areas has not been possible, so he has to join other projects to support.

Thinking about studying abroad since… first grade
Minh said he decided to study abroad since he was in first grade. "When I was young, my parents often told me to study well to get into a top 20 school in the US. My parents were very clear and also set out appropriate rewards for every achievement I made. Luckily, my parents' future was business, which is exactly what I love," Minh recalled.
It is known that during his high school years, Minh won about 20 gold medals from large and small competitions. Among them, the most memorable for Minh are the gold medals in the International Junior Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO), International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO), the platinum prize in the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad (APMOPS), the first prize in the city's excellent students in grades 9 and 11 in physics...

"The competitions prove my perseverance. I kept studying math and science, and I realized that it was a great foundation for my future business, for example, calculating helped me to price my products.
Or physics can help me do business with materials in the future. In pricing perfume bottles, calculating capital and profit ratios, I also apply a lot of mathematical knowledge. …”, the male student said.
According to Minh, when he was young, his father often told him that if he wanted to win the Nobel Prize and contribute research to society, he should major in science.
But if you want to be like your parents, who can buy perfume for you without having to think, you should study business to take care of yourself and your children in the future. Because of that orientation, combined with your interests, I caught up with business and determined to study abroad in this field in the future.
Mr. Minh admits that loving perfume is sometimes like doing business, because perfume has 3 layers of scent.
If we compare business to perfume, the first layer of scent is marketing to let others know about you; the middle layer is the most quintessential note, which is what makes others come to the business; and the base note is the last thing the business leaves an impression on customers, so that customers decide whether to come back or not.
This was also the main idea he expressed in his essay when he applied to study in the US. "At first, I wrote many drafts, then gradually perfected them. The core story of my essays all revolved around perfume because that is my passion," Minh shared.
