The 2nd week, 3rd month, 2nd quarter of the 24th Road to Olympia took place this afternoon (March 17) and witnessed the dramatic competition of 4 contestants: Chu Duc Manh (Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Lang Son), Phan Hoang Nguyen (Thanh Chuong 3 High School, Nghe An), Le Pham Minh Toan (Le Thanh Tong High School, Ho Chi Minh City), Tran Phan Quan (Phan Dinh Phung High School, Hanoi).
4 contestants participated in the round of week 2 of March of Road to Olympia 2024.
Entering the first round, Duc Manh answered 4/6 questions, earning 40 points. Meanwhile, as the second contestant, Hoang Nguyen did not have a favorable start like Duc Manh. Out of 6 questions given, Hoang Nguyen only answered 1 correctly and had 10 points in the Warm-up section.
As the third contestant, contestant Le Pham Minh Toan gave quite fast answers, earning 50 points. The only question he did not get a point for was "Which provinces does Ho Chi Minh City border?", Toan gave half of the answer when he correctly named Dong Nai but missed Tien Giang province.
Contestant Phan Quan did not give the correct answer to the first question, but in the following questions he took advantage of the opportunities, bringing home 50 points - equal to the score of Minh Toan from Le Thanh Tong school.
In the General Start round, Minh Toan was the contestant who made a spectacular comeback when he accelerated with 3 correct answers, increasing his score to 80.
Hoang Nguyen received 10 more points for 2 correct questions and increased his score by 20 points, bringing his score to 30, but then dropped it to 25 for his final answer when he did not give the correct answer.
At the end of the Warm-up round, the scores were ranked as follows: Minh Toan (80), Phan Quan (55), Duc Manh (35) and Hoang Nguyen (25).
The keyword to find in the Obstacle Course round is a crossword puzzle consisting of 9 letters. The first horizontal line requires finding a missing word in the song "Five Good Fingers". With the correct answer being "Count", Minh Toan and Phan Quan both got 10 more points to raise their scores to 90 and 65.
Immediately after that, Phan Quan rang the bell to answer the crossword puzzle of the Obstacle Course, which was "Binary System". Minh Toan was also the one who found the 9 letters but was not the contestant who rang the bell the fastest.
At the end of this round, Phan Quan took the lead with 125 points, followed by Minh Toan with 90 points, Duc Manh with 35 points and Hoang Nguyen with 25 points.

In the Speed Up round, Duc Manh answered 3/4 questions correctly to get 80 more points, while Hoang Nguyen also got 80 more points when he answered 2 questions correctly in the fastest time. At the end of this round, Minh Toan led with 170 points, followed by Phan Quan with 155 points, Hoang Nguyen with 105 points, and Duc Manh with 75 points.
Entering the decisive round - Finish, Minh Toan was the first to finish, choosing the 20 - 30 - 30 point question package. Toan answered the first two questions correctly. Toan did not have an answer for question 3 and lost points to Phan Quan. The male student from Le Thanh Tong Secondary School finished with 190 points.
Phan Quan finished with a question package of 20 - 30 - 20 points. Quan did not have the correct answer for the first question and lost points to Minh Toan. He lost points for the second question to Duc Manh. In the last question, Quan chose the star of hope and got 40 points. The boy from Phan Dinh Phung High School finished with 190 points.
Duc Manh chose the 20 - 30 -3 package with 0 points. For the first question, Manh had no answer, Hoang Nguyen took the right to answer to get more points. For the second question, he had no answer and lost points to Minh Toan. For the third question, Manh chose the star of hope but was unsuccessful, losing points to Phan Quan. The male student from Chu Van An High School for the Gifted finished with a meager 10 points.
Hoang Nguyen was the last contestant to participate in the Finish Line. He chose the 30 - 30 - 30 point question package. The first question had no answer, Duc Manh answered but also incorrectly. The second question, Hoang Nguyen chose the star of hope but was unsuccessful, losing points to Minh Toan. The last question, the boy from Thanh Chuong 3 High School also did not have a correct answer.
Le Pham Minh Toan (Le Thanh Tong Secondary School, Ho Chi Minh City) won the laurel wreath.
In the final result, Minh Toan won the laurel wreath of the 24th Road to Olympus weekly round with 270 points. Second place was Phan Quan with 190 points, and third place was Hoang Nguyen with 95 points and Duc Manh with 10 points.
