The third week of February, first quarter of the 25th Road to Olympia competition took place this afternoon (December 1) with the participation of 4 contestants: Hoang Anh Duy (Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted, Binh Thuan), Vu Viet Hoang (Song Cong High School, Thai Nguyen), Vu Hong Phuc (Han Thuyen High School, Bac Ninh) and Ta Huu Minh Duc (Quang Trung High School, Ha Dong, Hanoi).
In the Warm-up round, the four contestants showed equal strength through two separate rounds and a group round. Hong Phuc gained an advantage with 50 points, Viet Hoang and Minh Duc followed closely behind with 45 points, and Anh Duy with 40 points.
The keyword to find in the Obstacle Course this week with 15 letters. The first horizontal word was chosen with the question: “Which word is missing in the following poem: “They are few, we are many/ Our people only need to be united/ Oh, descendants of the Dragon and Fairy!/ Quickly… stand firm together” (History of our country – President Ho Chi Minh)?”. Hong Phuc was the only contestant to give the correct answer “Unity”.

As soon as the MC read the question, Viet Hoang quickly pressed the bell to claim the right to answer the keyword. With the correct answer "The good leaves cover the torn leaves", the Thai Nguyen male student rose to the top of the race with 95 points. Hong Phuc 60 points, Minh Duc 45 points, Anh Duy 40 points.
In the Acceleration round, the score gap between the contestants was not too large and any position could still be changed. Viet Hoang "took advantage of the victory" with many correct questions, winning 235 points and maintaining the leading position. Minh Duc was in second place with 115 points, 100 points were the scores of the two male students Anh Duy and Hong Phuc.
In the Finish Line round, Viet Hoang chose 3 questions with the same value of 20 – 20 – 20 points. The male student answered the first question correctly but had difficulty with the second calculation question. Hong Phuc pressed the bell to get points but also did not answer correctly. In the last question, Viet Hoang regained his form with a total score of 275 points.
Minh Duc chose 3 questions worth 20 – 20 – 20 points and the star of hope on the last question. The male student did not answer the first question correctly and lost 20 points to Hong Phuc. Despite having the star of hope, the male student still unfortunately stopped with 75 points.
Hong Phuc chose 3 questions worth 20 – 20 – 20 points. In the first two questions, the male student lost points to Viet Hoang, helping Viet Hoang raise his score to 315. The last question the male student could not answer, but no contestant rang the bell to win points. Hong Phuc ended up with 70 points.
Anh Duy chose 3 questions worth 20 – 20 -20 points and the male student also tried very hard to give the answer. In this part of the exam, Viet Hoang continued to gain more points from Anh Duy's first question. After that, Hong Phuc also managed to gain 20 points from Anh Duy.
Viet Hoanh won the laurel wreath with 335 points.
In the final result, Vu Viet Hoang (Song Cong High School, Thai Nguyen) won the laurel wreath with a high score of 335 points. This is the highest score of the 25th Road to Olympia to date.
Vu Hong Phuc (Han Thuyen High School, Bac Ninh) came in second with 80 points. Also in third place were Ta Huu Minh Duc (Quang Trung High School, Ha Dong, Hanoi) with 75 points and Hoang Anh Duy (Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted, Binh Thuan) with 60 points.
The four contestants competing in the February match of the first quarter of Road to Olympia 25 include: Vu Viet Hoang (Song Cong High School, Thai Nguyen), Ngo Xuan Mai (Tu Ky High School, Hai Duong), Le Quang Duy Khoa (Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted) and Nguyen Bao Gia Linh (High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
