National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is of great significance, creating many values ​​to promote tourism for Hue, is an opportunity to communicate, promote the image of Hue and increase the number of visitors, creating momentum for strong tourism development. The number of tourists visiting Hue heritage site is forecast to increase this year.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of Hue City Department of Tourism, said that with the theme of National Tourism Year 2025 "Ancient Capital - New Opportunities", Hue City has built many new tour products and highly creative experiential service routes associated with the potential advantages of the locality such as: New products and services revolving around typical brands such as "Hue - Culinary Capital", "Hue - Vietnamese Ao Dai Capital", "Hue - Festival City" such as cultural industrial products: Hue - Symphony music nights, Music Festival for young people; Ao Dai shows; culinary performances and experiences... In addition, the locality also hosts the final round of the Miss Vietnam 2025 contest; hot air balloon festival; Ancient Capital Martial Arts Festival... Craft village tourism, eco-tourism with waterfalls, sea, lagoons, products associated with old town, ancient village, garden house… are also invested and upgraded to meet the needs of visitors.

Hue City is currently developing a project to develop tourism and tourism services for the period 2025 to 2030, with a vision to 2045, focusing on a number of policies to promote development, investment support procedures and attract investment in tourism, including: Infrastructure, facilities and quality human resources for service and cultural, sports and tourism institutions; support mechanisms and policies for the activities of travel agencies, tourism service business units, event organizations, tourism development activities, etc.

Hue is a locality with great potential for developing service tourism from its heritage, landscapes, craft villages, etc. and diverse Hue tourism products with many types. It is expected that the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will help Hue welcome 5.25-5.5 million visitors and stayers; of which, domestic visitors account for about 70-80%. Revenue is estimated at 11,000-12,000 billion VND. Thereby, the locality strives to welcome about 12 million visitors by 2030. The National Tourism Year 2025 will be an opportunity for Hue tourism to develop comprehensively.

Hue City leaders said that they will reposition tourism products to suit market trends; innovate promotion methods, and pay attention to the attraction time for each type of market to ensure that different types of international visitors are welcomed throughout the year. Accordingly, a number of international flights are being connected to bring tourists to Hue, including the connection with Da Nang International Airport, and policies to support means of transport to pick up visitors from Da Nang to Hue. In addition, the city will continue to focus on building cruise tourism, establishing service infrastructure in Chan May port area (Phu Loc district, Hue city) to welcome luxury international visitors to experience and explore.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will strongly promote tourism development linkages between localities nationwide to promote strengths and potentials to develop tourism in the region as well as inter-regional, contributing to enhancing the image, position and brand of Vietnam's tourism in general and Hue City in particular in the following years. The event will attract a large number of people, international and domestic tourists to visit and experience the locality, creating momentum to promote the development of other economic sectors and fields; at the same time, creating a step of growth and comprehensive development of Hue tourism in terms of scale and quality of services, quantity and structure of tourists to ensure sustainability.

The number of European cruise tourists docking at Chan May Port (Hue City) and then visiting the provinces and cities of the Central region is increasing.

Hosting the National Tourism Year with many programs and activities held throughout the year, Hue is expected to attract a large number of visitors. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for ensuring security and order in the tourism sector or problems and behaviors affecting the tourism environment.

Therefore, in addition to regular inspection plans, the Department of Tourism Inspectorate coordinates with the Police and functional forces to carry out surprise inspections to ensure the tourism environment and tourism activities and services. The inspection subjects include: Tourist accommodation establishments, tourism services, travel agencies in the area; tour guides; tourism environment at tourist attractions.

The authorities also stepped up propaganda and mobilization to prevent violations of solicitation, street vending, and overcharging tourists around crowded areas and destinations. The tourism industry and local authorities also implemented many solutions to grasp the feedback of people, tourists, and on many social networking sites about the city's tourism business environment; coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect and handle.
