On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), and the 80th anniversary of the Southern Resistance Day (September 23, 1945 - September 23, 2025), the Truth National Political Publishing House published the book The South is the citadel of the Fatherland by President Ho Chi Minh.

The book is not only a heroic chronicle but also an epic of the indomitable spirit, loyalty and loyalty of the people here.

Although the South is far away, Uncle Ho's heart is always with the people of the South.

The book is structured in three parts: I swear with you to maintain the independence and freedom of Vietnam; The South is the citadel of the Fatherland; The South will surely win.

The contents are articles, speeches, telegrams, letters, congratulations, visits, encouragements and motivations of President Ho Chi Minh to cadres, soldiers and people in the South from 1945 to 1969. Through each letter and telegram, Uncle always followed every step of the Southern revolution, kindly visited, encouraged and motivated cadres, soldiers and people.

Although the South is far away, Uncle Ho's heart is always with the people of the South.

Every day, every hour, every big and small job, he always turned towards the South and paid special attention to the cadres, soldiers and people of the South.

They were people who were fighting steadfastly on the front lines against the US, as well as cadres and soldiers from the South who had regrouped, and southern students who were living and studying in the North.

April 30, 1975 marked the end of the war, opening a new era, the era of national reunification, ending more than two decades of painful division.

For every Vietnamese, this is a day of reunion, of the aspiration for peace becoming a reality. In the midst of that golden page of history, the South appears as an indomitable symbol, the "copper citadel" of the Fatherland, where the indomitable and persistent fighting spirit was forged throughout the long years of resistance.

With an emotional writing style, combining rich historical documents and a profound humanistic perspective, The South is the citadel of the Fatherland , a profound tribute to a heroic land, and at the same time a flame of inspiration for today's and future generations.

The book is not only a slice of history, but also an epic about the people and the land that contributed decisively to the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

This is a sacred reminder of a heroic past, a national character and a traditional flame that needs to be preserved and spread to today's and future generations.
