On November 1, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for October 2024 to evaluate the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the month and deploy directions and tasks for the following months. In October 2024, the government and people of Quang Ninh province continued to focus on implementing solutions to quickly stabilize people's lives, promote production and business recovery, boost economic growth and actively implement policies to support people and businesses to overcome the consequences of the storm.

Regarding economic development, the processing and manufacturing industry continues to play a leading role in the province's economic growth. In October, the development of the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 12.36% over the same period in 2023, and the cumulative increase in 10 months was 26.01%. In the service - tourism sector, the recovery and stable growth were recorded, with the total number of tourists to Quang Ninh in 10 months reaching 16.7 million, an increase of 20% over the same period, of which international visitors reached 3 million, and total tourism revenue reached 86% of the growth scenario for the whole year.

The leadership, direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee on budget revenue and expenditure, especially disbursement, has received attention. Total state budget revenue in the first 10 months of 2024 estimated at 43,895 billion VND, equal to 82% of the central budget estimate; of which, revenue from import-export activities is estimated at 15,200 billion VND, domestic revenue is estimated at 28,531 billion VND.

He emphasized that the overall picture of socio-economic development of the province has not been as expected, the consequences of storm No. 3 have affected most sectors, economic growth has decreased compared to the set target. However, with the spirit of self-reliance and resilience to overcome difficulties, Quang Ninh has adjusted the growth scenario, focusing on typical economic spearheads, concretizing the instructions to effectively operate economic recovery solutions on the basis of closely following the actual context in the province.

Giving specific instructions, he requested departments, branches and localities to grasp difficulties, focus on removing them, ensure the completion of goals and plans for 2024, and be determined to ensure double-digit growth. Speed up the progress of supporting the recovery of consequences after the storm, complete the construction and repair of houses for affected households in November; speed up the progress of developing the project to restore and rebuild the economy after the storm; the project for marine aquaculture; the project for afforestation associated with the task of developing the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and the following years.

Continue to grasp the difficulties of coal enterprises; ensure safe and stable power supply for loads in the province, especially prioritizing power supply for industrial parks in the area; create all favorable conditions for the processing and manufacturing industry to maximize capacity and production capacity; support enterprises to soon complete project investment, add new products on schedule.

In addition, promote the dissemination of the province's policies and guidelines on stimulating tourism in Quang Ninh to local people and tourists.
