This morning, December 12, 2024, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs held a Conference to summarize the coordination program between the Association and Vietnam Railways Corporation on supporting the free transportation of martyrs' remains by train.
In 2024, the Railway industry provided free train tickets for 66 family members, transporting the remains of martyrs from the South to the North by train, which is the result of the continuous efforts between the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs and the Railway industry. Each train carrying relatives and remains of martyrs back to their homeland is not only a geographical journey, but also a journey of gratitude, affection and deep gratitude for the heroes who sacrificed for the Fatherland. Each journey contains many emotions, many thoughts and wishes of those who remain.

When witnessing the tears of happiness of the martyrs’ relatives receiving the remains of their loved ones, the image of the veterans solemnly raising their hands to salute their comrades in the middle of the train station, we can fully understand the great significance of the work of bringing the remains of martyrs back to their homeland. It is not only a responsibility but also a sacred mission, a promise of gratitude to the heroic martyrs.

Entering 2025, the Railway industry will continue to accompany and coordinate with the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs to carry out this sacred mission.

We understand that each martyr’s remains are a part of the flesh and blood of their family members and the entire Vietnamese nation. Therefore, we will always put our heart and soul into each transport, so that the heroic martyrs can return to the motherland in the most solemn and sacred way.
