In 2024, Nam Giang will complete and exceed 19/19 socio-economic targets, of which 12 targets will exceed the plan. State budget revenue is more than 357 billion VND, reaching 110% of the district's estimate, up 4.24% over the same period in 2023. Total industrial and construction value is more than 4,213 billion VND, reaching 116.45% of the plan. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production value is 355 billion VND, reaching 109.13% of the plan.
Up to now, the whole district has achieved 177 new rural construction criteria, an average of 16.10 criteria/commune. Through appraisal, there are 2 villages meeting the model new rural standards and 2 communes meeting the new rural standards including Ta Bhing commune and La Dee commune.
The district maintains 100% of communes meeting universal education standards at primary, secondary and preschool levels; 18/24 schools meet national standards level 1. The district's poverty rate in the year decreased by 693 households compared to 2023, exceeding 333 households and reaching 192.5% compared to the province's assignment. The current poverty rate is 25.67%. In 2024, the district will eliminate 787 temporary and dilapidated houses, of which 757 will be newly built and 30 will be repaired.
