In 2024, the People's Council of Bac Tra My district set 15 basic targets for economic , cultural and social development, ensuring national defense and security. As a result, the locality achieved and exceeded 15/15 targets; of which 915 poor households were reduced, exceeding the set target by 126.2%.

Total production value (excluding Song Tranh hydropower) at current prices is estimated at VND 2,538.4 billion, up 12.87% compared to 2023. Of which, agriculture - forestry - fishery is estimated at VND 806.3 billion, up 7.33%; industry - handicraft - construction is estimated at VND 740.5 billion, up 13.49%; trade - services is estimated at VND 991.6 billion, up 17.31%.

Currently, Bac Tra My district has developed more than 3,009 hectares of medicinal herbs including Tra My cinnamon, tea vine, snow velvet, polygonum multiflorum, and green lim mushroom; of which Tra My cinnamon accounts for 3,000 hectares.

In the ethnic field, the district directs, urges, and guides the implementation of tasks and plans of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2024; approves specific support levels for each household to implement the source of support for dispersed domestic water and job conversion.

The locality organized 3 working groups to study and exchange experiences and 14 training courses to improve capacity for officials implementing national target programs; organized propaganda, dissemination of legaleducation and propaganda to reduce the situation of early marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority areas...

At the meeting, the People's Council of Bac Tra My district organized questions and answers on issues of interest to many voters in the area; at the same time, passed many important resolutions to orient economic, cultural and social development, ensuring national defense and security in the area in 2025.
